If you saw O'Reilly tonight, you saw Mike Rogers promise to start his "outing" campaign. He's kept his promise. Looks like much-ado about someone who isn't exactly a household name.

Doesn't this guy know how much harm he does to homosexuals? It's bizarre. I lived in Key West and know that one thing gay people hate more than "right wingers" is someone who outs another gay involuntarily. Another good example of overreaching if you ask me.

Wait a minute. I thought the DimoRATS were allies with the homosexual community. So outing a homosexual staffer damages whom? Is it OK to be a DimoRAT gay, but not a Republican gay?

This outing campaign is going to backfire completely.

This is absolutely no different than the liberal McCarthyism or blacklisting.

I have NEVER been a fan out outing. If there is a more personal violation of privacy I can't really think of what it would be. There is no reason for this tactic in the political sphere.

The campaign has now gone from a congressman exhibiting abhorent behavior to burning staffers? How is this moral? How is this ethical? How is this justified?

Yes, I know the answer. They're "Republican and hypocrites.". Sorry, I don't buy that. This is the same kind of twisted logic that you can't be "black" unless you're a Democrat and if you aren't, you're an Uncle Tom.

This is such an overplayed hand and I can't believe the left isn't distancing themselves from this guy and denouncing him.

We're no longer arguing issues, we're destroying lives for the sake of MINIMAL or NON-EXISTENT political gain.

Anyone thinking of running for office or being involved in politics has to be insane in this climate.

I agree. It will backfire against them.

One little item I was just reminded about.

Foley was a democRAT and only became a republican to get elected., so in a way CREW and the RATS 'outed' one of their own.

Oh, he knows. At least he thinks he knows. But it's like this:

Many moons ago a communist named Ronald Radosh [now ex-communist] went to visit the worker's paradise of Cuba with a passle of communist associates, no doubt some who were as queer as a three dollar bill.

While in Cuba they were given a tour of a "mental health facility" which had both real mental patients and some others who should not have been there...

The primary method of treating mental illness in Cuba at the time (and possibly still to this day) is to lobotomize the "patient."

They were informed at one point in the tour that lobotomies were performed on homosexuals in Cuba.

Ronald Radosh was apalled...

Apalled to the point of rethinking this idea of workers' paradises and communist government.

But I think what shocked him most was when he expressed his dismay that homosexuals were summarily lobotomized in Fidel's little wonderland to his fellow travelers their response was something along the lines of "It's OK! They're SOCIALIST lobotomies!"

To Mike and his associates, and death cult members like the folks at DU, it's "Socialism Über Alles," and no extreme is too much in pursuit of their agenda.

I wished O'Reilly would have confronted him on whether a gay person has a right to be conservative. These people have as much right to privacy as anyone--Rogers is merely a group think commie with some bad habits.

I agree with you, absolutely.

Here's what I wrote previously about it:

The closest thing to position papers or briefs I have written about this subject, and gays are here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1715754/posts?page=14#14
and here:
http://www.freedominion.ca/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=785474&highlight=#785474

And I truly believe that the Left's throwing gays under the bus for cheap ( and probably transient or nonexistent ) political gains is going to backfire on them, badly. They look mean in both the modern and archaic sense of the word.
