I believe May's accusation because Gilchrist would have sued May and the SPLC if it was a lie. A big victory like that would do wonders for Gilchrist's rep not to mention any money award.

A) Cliff May is just a mixed up kid. Suing him would serve no purpose.

B) If Gilchrist sued every time he was slandered by Morris Dees and his ilk, he'd spend every penny he had on lawyers. The idea is to protect America's border and its sovereignty, not to enrich lawyers.

The real problem is that what they are saying is probably true. Once a trial got down to real people with names and associations, video tape, It would all come out.
