It's my guess that when a DUFU edition tops 2,000 views, that means we've got a lot of DUmmies, KOSsacks, and also some CUers, tuning in.
Sure it does; I noticed these things during that scam that rocked the internet about this same time last year, when the DUmmie FUnnies alone--a very small part of the very large freerepublic--was drawing more traffic than the entire democraticunderground.
A rare and improbable thing, but yeah, it happened at least three times last year, the DUmmie FUnnies alone themselves outdrawing the whole entire democraticunderground.
I have to add that conservativeunderground, with circa 2,900 registered members is perhaps possibly as "large" now as democraticunderground, with circa 89,000 registered members.
When one considers "hits" and "active" members.
If in fact not, they are getting very close.
There are maybe perhaps possibly 3,500 authentic DUmmies; this was arrived at by a member of conservativeunderground (I think, "Ralph Wiggum"?) who collected and collated comments from DUmmieland, finding that about 3,000 of them were responsible for the vast majority--90% or something--of ALL the comments in DUmmieland.
On the other hand, it does appear that the vast majority of members of conservativeunderground are "active," and prolific posters.
There is of course no comparison between freerepublic and democraticunderground; sort of like comparing a watermelon with a shriveled-up walnut.
