A four-year-old boy died after he was brutally assaulted when he refused to call his mother's lesbian lover "Daddy", The Star newspaper reported on Thursday. Sounds very reasonable. Sure hope the states get their act together so these two can marry and adopt more children.

So they want the kids to be even more than just props for their freak show. They actually want them to play along. Agree with above, even the kid knew this was silly on its face. With this in mind there's no telling what is going on in what amounts to an insane asylum disguised as a "family".

I'm not sure I get your meaning here ... unless that woman had prior charge/evidence of child abuse, how were the authorities to know she would behave in this horrific manner? I'm sure the question doesn't come up in adoption interviews, "If you insist on being called *Daddy* and the child refuses, how will you react?"
