Congressman Bobby Rush, D-IL, faces mortgage foreclosure

Congressman Bobby Rush, D-Chicago, may be looking for a new home. Not voluntarily, however.

From NBC 5.com:

Chicago congressman Bobby Rush is the target of a mortgage foreclosure lawsuit.

The suit alleges Rush has failed to make payments on his South Calumet Avenue home since July.

The three-story 3,400-square-foot home is valued at $215,000.

Rush and his wife run the Englewood Community Development Corp. and the congressman has used political campaign funds to support the church where he is a pastor, NBC5 reported.

Rush calls the foreclosure action "a challenge that has been rectified."

Interesting. Chicagoans send this guy to Congress to manage taxpayers' money, but he can't seem to manage his own funds. About about that church of where he's a pastor: Wouldn't its acceptance of political funds violate--assuming it has it--its tax exempt status?

The South Side congressman does know the value of money: Rush is a big proponent of slavery reparations, as you'll read here and here.

How in the world, can Americans of ANY race - select an obvious degenerate imbecile like this to REPRESENT them...

By doing so -- they have placed themselves on the margins of society...looking very much like the enemy within.

"Chicagoans send this guy to Congress to manage taxpayers' money"

A nauseating thought. But you are right, that's what our congresscritters do - manage our money, or rather money that was once ours, but that they took from us so they can make everything better.

But I agree with what you were saying.

If it were true, it very well could have been a house she got in the temprary settlement and refused to make payments on.

" The three-story 3,400-square-foot home is valued at $215,000."

Is it made of cardboard?

WTF? Is it in the middle of nowhere? Is it a burned-out crack house?

His income is over well 6 figures as a member of the House.

Just a guess, but the payments are maybe $2,000 a month?

The house is three stories on a 1400 square foot lot, built in 1888. In other words, the house takes up the entire lot. Two others of a similar nature are right next to it. The lot is street to street, with one street busy, and across the other street in back is a factory. Across the busy street in front appear to be large old 3 story walk up apartment buildings. There appear to be no trees on the block, either the block in front, or the block in back. It is around 35th street south, about a mile and mile and a half from the lake, and from the aerial photo, the area looks pretty gritty. The house and the neighborhood, in a word, lack ambiance. There is a $335,000 mortgage on the place, so Rush probably has negative equity. The lender, Banc One, probably bent the rules to make the loan.

I hope this helps.

Exactly, people making as much as RL only waste money making someone foreclose on them to collect.

Here is some from the same blog:

Can anyone enlighten me on what the heck Congressman Bobby Rush, D-IL, is talking about here? This comes from ABC 7 Chicago's site Monday:

"I don't have anything personally against you, but you're just repulsive to me in regards to the fact that you say one thing and do another," said U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, (D) Chicago.

Chicago Congressman Bobby Rush is accusing Dart of racial insensitivity and calling for an open primary with no party endorsement of anyone. But party leaders overwhelmingly reject that proposal.

Tom Dart received the Cook County Regular Democratic Organization's endorsement for Sheriff of Cook County in next year's primary election on Monday.

I hope everyone remembers that Bobby Rush is a former Black Panther -- very much the enemy within.
