The unreality of the weekly Hillary campaign commercial, putatively a TV series called "Commander in Chief" starring Geena Davis, enters Week 2, and Hollywood has made its choice: It's Hillary/Wesley Clark '08.
As I noted in my column last week, the president’s VP choice is "General Warren Fitzgerald Keaton" (played by left-wing non-emoter Peter Coyote), a former Democratic VP candidate who was involved in the Balkan campaign. Davis says he "went to war and never lost a man" and "doesn't have a duplicitous bone in his body." In a flashback to the previous campaign -- with some unintentionally hilarious dialogue meant to show how "truthful" this military hero is — the press asks the general what he brings to a ticket, to which Keaton replies, "I know how to lead, and I know what’s good for the country." Now Tinseltown has broadened its emphasis from shilling for Hillary: it's now a paid weekly advertisement for Wesley Clark, too.
This is an intriguing take from a program that pledged it would focus on "East-Wing issues."
Meanwhile, there are two more Hillary/Bill exculpations. First Hubby Rod Allen wants to wear Armani, but his adviser says, "Remember what happened to Clinton when he wore Armani?" Is there nothing these lousy right-wingers won't attack? Next, Rod wants to weigh in on the VP choice, and the president's chief-of-staff rebuffs him, "Do yourself a favor, Rod: stay in your lane."
Once again, evil Republicans talk down about the Little Lady running the country. The evil Nathan Templeton (played by Donald Sutherland) backs a Republican southern governor for the veep slot. In their private meeting, Templeton tells the man, "What the White House needs is for you to go in there and right the ship of state," to which the Republican replies, "Literally." (Insert rolling eyes here.) Templeton is then called away for "that meeting with AIPAC." (Later, when Gen. "Keaton" interviews with President Allen for the job, he tells a "Palestinian" staffer, "I empathize with your people" -- in Arabic.)
In Hollywood's attempt to normalize its views in one of its last bastions -- entertainment -- the battle is pitched: Craven, back-stabbing, sexist, conservative Jew-lovers vs. enlightened, straight-talking leftists. Stay tuned....

Almost sounds funny enough to watch. Almost.
"Hollywood has made its choice: It's Hillary/Wesley Clark '08."
Big surprise. Hope they have as much luck with this choice as they did with Kedwards (kudos to James Taranto for that nickname). BWAHAHAHA!
Big surprise there.
Who cares? Why anyone watches that crap is beyond me.
Does anyone have a comprehensive list of sponsors we can boycott or e-mail our extreme displeasure over this blatant campaign for Hillary show?
Hasn't that show been cancelled yet?
Pretend presidencies are the only kind the rats should be allowed to have from now on.
Entertainment.
Thus far, I've not decided it is crap.
It has been interesting.
Hilary and Wesley Clark?
Bwahaha.
For some reason that duo conjours up images of the famous Abu Ghraib picture of the woman holding the leash of a collared man....
Hilary. She sure has an affinity for emasculated men.
But where will they find a chief of staff to break down and weep on the BBC?
His campaign slogan could be, "bombing a bridge to the 21st century".
Yeah, and here are some other "enlightened straight-talking leftists":
BTW, that's future Greenpeace member Leni Riefenstahl in the middle.
How transparent! The show is produced by Battle Plan Productions, and their address is (I kid you not) The Clinton Building in Hollywood!!
