what do you put in the place where it asks for url.

I put in the URL that points to the article that I am posting. I do this for the benefit of the the reader (I hate it when I'm misdirected by bad links.) I also believe in the integrity of honesty. - consequences be damned.

do they allow you to put in nothing?

Apparently so. Successful vanity posts frequently have no URLs to sources.

Many successful post to News/Activism omit referencing URLs. Chat threads and vanity threads are frequently allowed.) I also observe the occurrence of successful News/Activism posts that link to sites that are little more than blogs - in that they are not bona fide news sites.

It's evident to me that the blog site rules are applied inconsistently.

It's also evident to me that appeals to FR administrator for reconsideration are uniformly ignored.

The rules as applied to the Belmont Club site are unfortunately misapplied.

if that's the case then its a simple mattter to post wretched's stuff.

In fact I may just excerpt out my comments and include them in my own blog and post that to fr. because the level of the debate at belmont is much better than at fr.
