ACLU Prepares To Bork Bush's Nomination For O'Conner's Replacement
STOP THE ACLU BLOG ^ | 3-July-05 | Jay777

In order to accomplish the agenda of reordering society, the ACLU focuses primarily on the courts. They understand that it its goal of political, economic, social, and cultural equality is most likely to be achieved through circumventing the will of the people, and that is why it is wary of taking its case to the executive and legislative branches of government. In today's world of judicial tyranny where the judicial branch acts as though it is the legislative branch, in essence writing laws instead of interpreting them, you can bet that the ACLU will use it to its advantage.

The ACLU's reliance on a judically active court explains why it views Supreme Court nominees with the utmost importance. There is probably nothing else that will galvanize the energy of the ACLU officials more than the appointment of a justice to the high court.

It is a matter of some saliency that until the nomination of Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, the ACLU had a policy of not opposing any candidate for elected or appointed office. Bork officially changed all that, though he was not the first prospective justice the ACLU sought to discredit. In fact, the Union's disdain for judicial restraint anedates Bork by decades.

Even before the ACLU officially changed its policy regarding its refusal to take a stand on any candidates for elected or appointed office, it violated its own policy on nonpartisanship. For example, in 1971 the Union sent letters to each member of the Senate Judiciary Committee publicly attacking the nomination of William Rehnquist to the Supreme Court.

We can stop this from happening one way, and one way only. And that is by controlling the RINO's in the Senate. If we threaten complete withdrawal of all Republican support for them unless they get behind Bush's choices, they will think twice about their usual equivocation.

We must be serious, and convey to them, (and we and they know who they are) that we will not offer a scintilla of support for them, even if it means them losing to a 'Rat
instead. This is the only kind of language they will understand, and the message must be made clear immediately
by whatever means it takes.

Opposition for the sake of opposition. America needs to understand that this is what it's really about.

Isn't Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg a former ACLU member appointed by Slick Willy?

"Opposition for the sake of opposition. America needs to understand that this is what it's really about."

It also needs to understand that it's liberties and rights of Citizens are being tested daily, not for the purpose of stengthening them, but for the purpose of destroying them -- paid for in part by the ACLU and other special interest group, all subsidized by tax dollars and tax breaks.

I've been advocating this same thing.

The RINOs need to be told, clearly and unequivocably that their party will only support them if THEY SUPPORT THEIR PARTY. And this means supporting Dubya's pick for SCOTUS and backing away from this ridiculous sell-out to the Dems and the "gang of 14".

They should be told that the RNC and the Senate Majority will hold back all forms of support, including votes for pet projects as well as campaign funding. If they don't like it - tough. Go pull a Jeffords and jump to the Dems. The voters will then send them home in '06 or whenever they are up next - problem solved.

The Dems do this to get unity. Why can't the Repubs?

It boggles the mind that Frist and Rove are unable to get all 55(?) Senators on the same train. This is clear and total lack of leadership, IMHO - and we need someone (not Frist) who can get the job DONE.

We need someone like Tom DeLay or Newt Ginrich to do this.

We must demand that President Bush follows through with his campaign pledges of '00 and '04...to appoint Constituionalists/Originalist to the court when the opportunity presented itself. This is a no back down area if we are to get this country back on the "right" path.

***All very well, but most of these momentous issues are decided in the backroom ala McCain.

The ACLU needs a great big outing as a communist front. Laugh at the "McCarthyism" the obligatory ad hominem because the TRUTH IS "McCarthyism" is AntiCommunism.

The ACLU profits from every lawsuit it files.

By supporting a new bill recently introduced, you can help cut off taxpayer support of the ACLU:

Public Expression of Religion Act of 2005
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1413875/posts

There you will find information about the bill, links to contact your congressmen and state representatives, and links to Stop the ACLU, among others.
