Anyone who believes anything that is said after this point in the article, please contact me. I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.
It is quite complete and conforms to what I found in my "look see" into this sad situation.
I fear it will not overcome the blatant falsehoods and hyperbole mixed with truths and emotion that laden this forum of late.
That being said, I pray for all involved and that they come to closure one day. I also would like to see a more rational approach to these issues. Nothing is black and white. Nothing at all.
Then she suffered another stroke that left her unable to swallow. We could no longer care for her and she was placed in a nursing home. Each day I went there a plate of cold of untouched food would be sitting there. Never any water!!
I was told that if I gave her food or water she would strangle to death. I called in the doctor and made a great fuss over my mom not being fed or given any water. I insisted they put in an IV . Her veins collapsed. I prayed much and placed her in His hands. She was in so much pain all drawn up her little legs and arms could not be straitened out she was down to 60 lbs. She was 89 years old
The doctor told me it was time to let her go. She would not put in a feeding tube. She ordered MORPHINE FOR THE PAIN and ice chips. So for six days she had nothing. She died on the sixth day in my arms.
I could not sleep or eat during that time and still today I can not stand to think of it. My dad died 40 days later in my home in my arms. I know that God forgives us our sin if we ask Him to, but living with guilt of what I did is almost unbearable.
I have read that Michael had the feeding tubes taken out for both of his parents. How can he live with himself if he does this to Terri? I pray that God will take Terri home in His time. She and her family are in my prayers.God bless all you.
Considering some of the recent threads (and the hype) I'd almost given up on finding any real information from an objective point of view (reports of the scans, medical facts), particularly on FR. THANK YOU for finding this.
But isn't there a bone scan that shows Terri was beaten? I honestly don't know. What I understand is that a bone scan was taken in 1991 and that the doctor who read it saw on it evidence of past trauma at various places on Terri's body. Some consider that evidence of a severe beating by her husband, others consider it evidence consistent with bulimia, a fall, and CPR by paramedics. Whether trauma really happened, or what kind, or when, are all unclear. Source (ABSTRACT APPEAL)"
Could this be the fear Michael has? With her showing improvement, although very small, scared him into this.
I for one, do not believe Michael, not for one instant, that this was her wish.
Your post indicated that Michael received $one million. I have read in many sources that it was $1.7 million.
Which is it?
In Florida, the large elderly population has a heck of a lot more to worry about than privacy - like dying before their time through painful starvation.
Sorry. There's nothing unbiased about this piece. It's NO DIFFERENT than most of what we've been reading from the MSM.
Whoa on the praise, already!!!
As an example of his factual blackouts, notice how he dances around the history of physical abuse Terri has suffered.
His analysis is NOT comprehesive, and is NOT straightforward.
In brief, the guy's a schmuck.
I thought he wasn't going to interject his own opinions. This is where he lost me. If Terri feels no pain, why did the killers pump her up with morphine last time they tried to starve her to death. HuH?
I fear, however, that many agenda-driven folks will fail to appreciate your effort.
PING myself
It all ends right here, as far as I'm concerned. If the parents are hopeful, and the husband is not let Michael Schiavo hand over custody to the parents. Let him go on with his life and marry his mistress and make legitimate his children.
But he could have been "off the hook" a long time ago.
What ought to grab you, Hildy, is how much this guy wants someone dead.
Can you really credit the notion that it is out of regard for Terri? Seriously? Then, what else is at work?
Why has Schiavo already planned a cremation?
I'm supposed to respect the same gang of judges that turned Fla into chaos in 2000?
I'm pro-death penalty. I also see no reason to hurry to execution after a verdict. Let appeals be exhausted.
What's the rush?
