That's exactly why it's disinformation and a complete waste of time. The inability to tell right from wrong is, after all, the legal definition of criminal insanity.
The whole case is about moral values. One cannot understand it, or sort out the lies and prejudices, without moral clarity.

What Pegita meant was, according to FL law at the time of Terri's collapse, a food tube was not considered life-sustaining while a ventilator was. Several years later, the law was changed to include feeding tubes. The law was then retroactively applied to Terri's case.
But isn't there a bone scan that shows Terri was beaten? I honestly don't know. What I understand is that a bone scan was taken in 1991 and that the doctor who read it saw on it evidence of past trauma at various places on Terri's body. Some consider that evidence of a severe beating by her husband, others consider it evidence consistent with bulimia, a fall, and CPR by paramedics. Could this be the fear Michael has? With her showing improvement, although very small, scared him into this.
I for one, do not believe Michael, not for one instant, that this was her wish.
Wonderful news, however I am not sure what they can do. However the more noise that is made hopefully it will wake people to this story and force Jeb and George to do something about it!

EXACTLY! These people who pretend to be such great friends of Mrs. Schiavo, call her "Terri," and hurl insults at others, don't give a hoot about her rights or preferences. Ask them directly, and you'll find that their morality is stunted prior to the idea of us having rights of our own.
I don't know for sure, maybe it is was the one who was lying about Terri laughing.
Matt Conigliaro is clearly a liar, for claiming that "The only debate between the doctors is whether she has a small amount of isolated living tissue in her cerebral cortex or whether she has no living tissue in her cerebral cortex." Dr. Hammesfher disagrees, so there *is* a debate, and it is *not* what Mr. Conigliaro claims.
And no, you can't have 75% of brain tissue intact, and at the same time have all or even most of the cerebral cortex gone. The cerebral cortex accounts for 80% of the volume of the brain. Do the math.
He doesn't care about crimes against Terri as I know from personal communications with him.
What I find amazing is that this man, Michael Schiavo worked tirelessly for years trying to help his wife. During the prime of his life. It's when he realized that she was gone, and she is gone, that he decided to do what he thought was in her best interest. You might not think it is in her best interest, but that doesn't mean he doesn't. You all should be ashamed of yourselves to think you know what's in a heart of a man.
Thank you. Just saw this...I had to get away from the computer for awhile. My father had stopped eating on his own, the problem was the water. He was dying, they could have let him go naturally instead of rushing it-it probably would have only been a few extra days.
Why is it that Michael Schiavo threatened Terri's family if they released the videos that had been taken during her evaluations? Why is she not allowed out of her room in a wheel chair, as she had done in the early '90's? Esp. since such a patient would ordinarily be taken out as much as possible, that's just being humane!
Michael says it's because he's protecting Terri's privacy and dignity -- but then in his 10/'03 Larry King interview went on to discuss intimate details of his wife's hygiene & gynecologic status.
I dunno. Why was it all right for Terri to be out and about the St. Pete area, getting her hair done at the mall, going to a park . . . some TV stations have shown that snippet of Michael pointing out something to Terri as they're out in the park; I'll try to find the still photo to post.
The man is a psychopath. Study the evidence and stop sticking up for a wife abuser, stalker and attempted murderer.
