Ouch, that is a pretty strong statement. Frankly I understand. I decided long ago to not make men my hero as even the best of me can let you down, even us conservatives. God is the only one that can make a miracle happen for Terri and how that happens is up to Him. But I tell you what, if Terri dies of starvation I am going to be deeply upset to hear Jeb say he did all he could. I know that is just not enough. I think at this point he has enough to have DCFS remove Terri out of the care of Michael for further invesitation without the consent of Greer. But if that happens or something else good happens we will just have to be patient. I do hope that Jeb does come through for Terri, and yes I can say if not it will it will hurt a lot of conservatives out there the next voting time. He knows good and well he has to do something.
Oh great, the late night shift just arrived.
Huh??
"Nothing is black and white. Nothing at all."
Murder is black.
Having the chance to live is white.
Good night.
I'm revising my tagline, which has always been a political statement of some kind, to a non-political tagline. I'm going totally non-political, because of what both parties apparently are willing to allow to happen to Terri. As for the two major political parties, a pox on both their houses!
G'nite to you as well........
Good for you, I think that is the way to go. God is always my hero, not man. We sometimes depend to much on them, IMO.
Have a good night!
Check your freepmail.
I just read through this whole post, and I see that Hildy and her pro-death cronies who were having a like-minded love fest about this blog totally ignored all of YOUR factual posts. Interesting.
Why don't you show the pic of a drawer full of eye gasses and jars of teeth.
What tortured logic you must have in the name of conservatism. This is a simple legal matter that has been adopted by advocates that have no business in it.
I find this, and some of the recent references to civil unrest, the national guard and violence, very disturbing on these threads.
Inciting these things are actually very dangerous, and very thin ice.
You might want to point your efforts at preventing what is becoming a problem, rather than beating a dead Nazi horse.
They did it one bite at a time. They started by saying that there is a life unworthy of life. They continued by including more and more people in that group from each end of the age spectrum, from the youngsters to the old people and they moved towards the middle. Then everybody was in danger; nobody was safe from being declared unworthy of life because it was no longer just the physically infirm on either end of the age spectrum, but it became those people who had ideologies that were offensive to the status quo. And that's what I'd like to talk about right now, those people who have ideologies that are offensive to the status quo, who are increasingly being perceived as a significant source of social turmoil.
We've already got the first step, my friends. We are already euthanizing those on each end of the age spectrum and we do it without hardly lifting an eyebrow. We started with the unborn children, we're continuing now with the elderly and we're moving closer and closer to the middle.
After reading the article, Dr. Alexander said to a friend: "It is much like Germany in the '20s and '30s. The barriers against killing are coming down."
"The transformation followed thus: The concept that the elderly and terminally ill should have the right to die was promoted in books, newspapers, literature and even entertainment films..."
"Dr. Koop stated: "The first step is followed by the second step. You can say that if the first step is moral then whatever follows must be moral. The important thing, however, is this: Whether you diagnose the first step as being one worth taking or being one that is precarious rests entirely on what the second step is likely to be. ... I am concerned about this because when the first 273,000 German aged, infirm and retarded were killed in gas chambers there was no outcry from that medical profession either, and it was not far from there to Auschwitz."
jeez.....It's like kicking a fire ant mound.
And FWIU Doctor Hammesfahr, using his treatment, has achieved success with patients declared untreatable. Seems to me that perhaps the "current knowledge about stroke physiology" could use some improvement?
