I think you nailed it on that description. You should see the band director at the local school here. In the middle of a school performance he took time out to introduce the seniors. "Oh what can I say about this student except awesome" and "My gosh, I just don't know what to say, this person is such an inspiration to everyone."
I kid you not, several times when it was time to introduce "one of his very most favorites" he would squat down on the stage, hold his head between his hands, rock back and forth, then hold his head up momentarily to speak into the mic "forgive me, I need just a moment here to collect myself. This next student is just so awesome."
It was truly sickening. I literally had to leave before screaming out something I would later regret.

A shame the gov't can't subsidize secular studies. Allow me a slight correction in your thinking...
It is a shame the gov't won't allow people to us their tax dollars to educate there children where and how they see fit.

I was not at all familiar with the case, and was undecided about on which side to stand.
your post settled the matter: The "moms" are leftist trolls.

Is that the reason why people support the voucher system? My (Jewish) community does.
My community also raises a lot of money to subsidize or reduce tuition fees, so our children won't have to go to public schools. They're really dangerous places.

"This has got to be one of the weirdest troll threads I've seen. "The Three Faces of Eve" comes to mind. What I can't figure out is what their/her/its payoff is. But it's SO funny."
What we have seen here today on this thread is typical of the left wing's Digital Brownshirt Response teams. Freeper Richard Poe has a book out that has addressed this left wing behavior:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1173486/posts
Part 2: The Democrats'
Digital Brownshirts
By Richard Poe
" it is the Democrats, not the Republicans, who pay Internet propagandists to lie, defame, dissemble and otherwise corrupt political discourse in America.
In the last two years, money from George Soros has ushered in a veritable Golden Age for Web-based Democrat mischief, much of it perpetrated through such high-profile Web sites as MoveOn.org. But if such a thing as a digital brownshirt movement truly exists, its seeds surely took root in the Clinton White House as early as the summer of 1995."

Is that the reason why people support the voucher system? It should not even be called a voucher system. As if the government is "giving" a voucher representing someone's own money.
And what your community is doing to help kids get into better schools is fantastic. That is changing lives, making a real difference.
