I miss that as well. I sometimes listen to CSX(Doesn't come in that well in Howell), although I usually listen to WMMQ out of Lansing which plays more of a variety of stuff. The WRIF is usually good around 5PM as well and even plays some local stuff at times during their request hour then.

101.3 in Grand Rapids(which I can get in Williamston) is probably the best station in the state. Plays almost everything. I even heard one song I heard only once on the old Z-Rock/The Bear(102.7) - Gary Moore's version of Shapes of Things.

That GR station sounds cool. I once heard that GR was a pretty big Progressive Rock town. I have no idea if that is true. I know that Marillion used to tour there back when they still toured the US regularly.

I get my rock music 'diversity' fix from listening to XM these days. The only problem is that their Deep Tracks station (channel 40) is almost too deep. I'd like them to split it up into a couple of eras. Perhaps early 60s - late 70s and late 70s - early 90s or current. That would be better. Of course I'm going off on a tangent now............
