Gumbleton is a friend to most any leftist cause one can think of. But Dan, isn't Gumbleton pro-life? I don't think he likes being asked about it, but I do believe he has at least expressed true pro-life sentiments, and not out of any respect for orthodoxy.
I could be wrong though.

I'll be shocked if he is. I certainly never heard anything about him being pro-life.
I know Cardinal Maida is pro-life.

BTW - I'm not in the Detroit Diocese (I'm in Lansing's) so there's probably more informed Catholics on him than I am.
