Being John Malcontent...

The mesmerizing incredulity emanating from the Democrat’s 2004 Presidential candidate so far exceeds any heretofore recognized boundaries of decorum, respect, responsibility, and good sense or judgment that one might begin to suspect that he is being possessed by a foreign entity and made to advocate some cause on their behalf. Predictions of failure and a constant denigration of policy combine with his persistent challenges of executive authority to thoroughly undermine any sense of resolve on the part of this nation in the eyes of the enemy. Moreover, his allusions to quagmires of wars past and the morbidly prophetic references to American body counts do nothing to forward or hasten victory for his nation. On the contrary, John Kerry’s relentless dissent lends courage and determination to the crumbling front of barbarism that opposes the United States and most of human existence. What would drive a man to covet personal ambition more than the survival and security of his nation and its people?

One might, if his criticisms and positions were consistent, attribute the man’s passion to the integrity of profound conviction; albeit tragically flawed. And yet, his stance is like that of a pirouetting marionette whose strings are plucked and tugged in some epileptic facsimile of grace and style. Watching his schizophrenic performance yet again this week, I began to be reminded of a strange movie that I once saw, where people found a portal through which one could enter the being of actor, John Malkovich. Why anyone would care to find that appealing, I’ll hardly know. Nevertheless, the characters became obsessed with the ability to enter his head and take command of his being. In essence, they were being John Malkovich; or rather he was being them, yet in his own body, acting out their desires and fantasies. As perverse as it seems, the answer to the mystery of John Kerry may share a similarity. Could it be that there is a cave in the mountains of Afghanistan or beneath a hovel in Fallujah where one might crawl inside the head of John Kerry and manipulate him accordingly? Indeed, the termite-like tunneling VietCong found a similar cave three decades ago, deep inside the loess of Southeast Asia. And judging by the multiple positions of the candidate over the last several years, one might suspect a labyrinth of connections emerging all over the globe, from Paris apartments, to Hollywood penthouses, a basement toilet in Vermont, to a pantry at Westchester Medical Center’s cardiac unit. His positions on crucial issues are nearly as varied and indistinguishable as they are dangerous.

Facing the prospect of a losing campaign, and a failed life as a professional statesman, John Kerry has deployed the secret weapon of his depleted arsenal. He has surrendered his empty soul to any personality and position that promises the destruction of the President of the United States. The fascist extremities of Islam have declared war on the West with America as their primary target. And even as they endeavor to slaughter Americans and anyone allied with the US (or just anyone that is not them), Mr. Kerry has become a veritable echo chamber for Islamofascism to legitimize their acts of barbarism in the name of ‘regime change’ in America. A new Kerry add being aired, ironically entitle, "Doesn't Get It" seeks to use US casualties and the torture of innocent hostages in Iraq to score politic points for the feckless candidate. The add states that,

“George Bush said Iraq was 'mission accomplished.' Sixteen months later, he still doesn't get it. Today: over 1,000 U.S. soldiers dead, kidnappings, even beheadings of Americans, still Bush has no plan what to do in Iraq." Like Al Jazeera, Kerry is resonating a message of chaos and failure to which the butchers of a fascist insurgency need merely oblige to aid their unlikely ally and rid each of a common foe. On the one hand, his words serve to bolster the enemy’s efforts by providing supportive propaganda for their resolve and recruitment. At the same time, he demoralizes beleaguered Iraqis and Afghans, undermines their domestic leadership (reference) and the trust they have in coalition allies. Worst of all, he deliberately indulges in a campaign that divides the nation at a time when mortal threat requires its greatest unified constitution.

“The mission was not accomplished when he said it…” charges Kerry in reference to Bush’s visit to the USS Abraham Lincoln upon the completion of her mission and return to port. Indeed it was accomplished, for the ship, and the crew, and America and its President . The first steps toward victory had been successfully achieved. The initial campaigns of a long hard war had been successfully resolved. The enemy was in disarray and retreat with no place to hide and limited means of attack. John Kerry’s malcontented soul - occupied by personalities of the most ardent fringe radicals, pacifists, neo-communists, and anti-Americans - has provided the enemy with the vehicle they need to strike this nation and its people a mortal blow with his willing participation in their behalf.

The Left is currently incapable or unwilling to recognize the legitimacy of pre-emptive action against a gathering threat. Continually, Kerry and his supplicants charge that President Bush has made America less safe, not moreso. Ted Kennedy scathed on stage Monday at George Washington University that, “an arrogant rush to war in Iraq has made the country more vulnerable to nuclear attack while the Bush administration has misled the public with "happy talk" about prospects for peace.” With the prospect of WMD still a looming if not an eminent threat, Teddy Malcontent has as much as offered suggestions to terrorist for directing their escalation of atrocity. He further undermines executive authority by claiming that, "The president's handling of the war has been a toxic mix of ignorance, arrogance and stubborn ideology," said Kennedy. "The president's arrogance toward the world community has left our soldiers increasingly isolated and alone." Ignoring for a moment, the blatant treason inherent in those words from a sitting and senior member of Congress during a time of war, his statement demonstrates that the Democrat Party really just “doesn’t get it.” In fact, it is The Democrats positions that do indeed make the world less safe. Aside from the obvious observation that their language is legitimizing the unconscionable actions of butchers, they are providing those butchers with an open invitation to continue and even escalate such activities as a means to both ends. Never a match for the military might of the US and its allies, clearly the aim of the Islamofascists has been the defeat of the West in terms of its spirit and resolve. Recall that Osama Bin Laden viewed the US as a fragile opponent that could be easily defeated with an intense campaign of pain and misery. Indeed he witnessed this weakened state of resolve in Somalia, when forces under President Clinton’s command capitulated to escalating attacks by Al-Qaeda splinter cells disguised as local militias.

"The youth were surprised at the low morale of the American soldiers and realized more than before that the American soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows ran in defeat. And America forgot all the hoopla and media propaganda ... about being the world leader and the leader of the New World Order, and after a few blows they forgot about this title and left, dragging their corpses and their shameful defeat."

(Reference : ABC reporter John Miller recounts his May 1998 hour-long interview with Osama bin Laden at his camp on a mountaintop in southern Afghanistan.)

And programmatic retreat and defeat is exactly what John Kerry has proposed. Capitulation to violence promises to be the hallmark of a Kerry administration if one applies logic to Kerry’s campaign and takes the arguments of the Left literally. As long as persistent aggression aids their cause, the enemy will continue to commit acts of violence and terror with increasing barbarity. Kerry seems to be counting on it. In fact, it appears that he is indeed campaigning for it when he predicts a Vietnam-style failure in ’the quagmire’ of Iraq.

The upcoming debate will be interesting to watch. A fight is no doubt underway among the tunnel-rats in the spider-holes of John Kerry’s soul, for the right to be puppetmaster against the great Satan himself, President Bush. Will he wax psychopathic like Howard Dean, belch and bloviate incoherently Like Ted Kennedy, chortle the foolish collectivist bromides of Jimmy Carter or simply attempt to devour his opponent on stage like Zarqawi might prod him to do. Either way, the pressure is on for Kerry to prevail Thursday... as statesman or madman. He must squarely trounce (if not humiliate) his 'redneck' opponent in order to endear himself to the fringe Left. Yet, only by demonstrating wiser leadership can he hope to capture a majority electorate that squarely approves of this President (Polls). Clearly, it would seem, Kerry has no such personality wandering within. A lesser performance at this point will prove disasterous for his crumbling campaign and damn Kerry to an abysmal existence of cruel irrelevance. After a failed election attempt to match an equally significant Senate career, who would want to haunt the mildewed casements of Kerry’s empty soul where there’s nothing to offer, and no one to listen?
