I believe they do want this off the news cycles, but I also believe they are lying about Moveon.org producing them - I think they leaked this tidbit because they are close to getting found out and are looking to blame someone inside the organization that is outside the DNC.
Thoughts?
Exactly.
"I also believe they are lying about Moveon.org producing them - I think they leaked this tidbit because they are close to getting found out and are looking to blame someone inside the organization that is outside the DNC."
One of the first rules put to communist operatives is "accuse your enemy of what you are doing"!

If you're right it will be one of the dumbest political moves in history. The moveon crowed isn't exactly in love with Kerry. They could turn on him at the drop of a hat.
I just don't think that this memo came out of the Kerry campaign--or even the DNC, although that is more plausible than the Kerry camp. It's just too risky. The name of the game in politics is plausible deniability. But I DO think it's very possible that someone with close connections to MoveOn.org could easily have done this. It's a shadowy organization with known and unknown players. I think what this staffer says--that 527s are run by emotions and not a knowledge of campaigns--sounds right on. While I'm sure that there are some elements of MO with campaign experience, there's also a lot of shadowy players that are throwing mud to see what sticks. The Clinton ties to MO are very interesting... I'm not sure what to make of that yet.
Again, the source said they have no idea if moveon.org was the source, but rather, that is the current belief at the Kerry campaign.
