Wow. The more I see about VVAW, the more that I'm glad that I was too young to really know too much about what was going on (I was born in 1966).

American Legion tomorrow
I believe this occurred when Kerry was actively involved and that he participated. I'm still waiting for the Swiftvets to bring up Kerry's meeting with the N Vietnamese negotiators in Paris. he obviously didn't go there to represent the U.S. government, and he now claims he can't remember what he discussed with our enemies. Obviously, he told them our soldiers were committing atrocities, he opposed the U.S. role in the war, and he undoubtedly "apologized." I'm sure he also spoke about how best to get the U.S. out so the commies could take over all of Vietnam. These are not wild speculation, but based on everything Kerry was doing and saying at the time.
Wow! That needs to be handed out to everyone at the VFW meeting and needs to be seen by as many vets as possible! Kerry might get booed off the stage, lol.
WOW!!!
Ping
The memory of what Kerry and his real band of brothers (VVAW) did in 1971/72 is seared - seared in my memory. That is why I will do everything I can to make sure he is not elected president.
They supported the total disarmament of America. I distinctly remember a Reader's Digest article trying to explain to them why that was unwise. They said the war was racist genocide. We wanted to kill yellow people, and we were sending black people to die in the process. They were blind to the N Vietnamese aggression. Our S Vietnamese allies were called corrupt traitors to their own people.
Late in the war, the N Vietnamese launched a desperate all out tank attack. Their soldiers were found dead chained inside their tanks. The S Vietnamese were pretty much on their own at that point and they were cut off and surrounded at An Loc. They held out for many days and were victorious.
I will never forget the NYT writing that the battle of An Loc proved "even a rat will fight when cornered." Everything vile and illogical with the left today got it's impetus during Vietnam.
Oh, and how many realize that N Vietnam was defeated by Nixon's bombing and Vietnamization policy, and signed the Paris Peace Accords which ended the war. It wasn't until AFTER Nixon was removed by Watergate that the North violated the peace and launched a huge tank assault into the South. The democrats in Congress blocked President Ford from even sending our allies supplies. THAT is how Vietnam was lost.
Too bad the VFW convention was a couple of weeks ago, but I will make the the American Legion sees this.

WOW!
E-Mail these video links to EVERYONE!
Kerry's OWN words in 1971 have done him in!
Rush made an interesting comment yesterday. He said that he has been wondering about the European hatred of America and all of a sudden while watching a film about Kerry's testimony before Congress .. Rush wondered if that was where the hatred for America really began ..??
It's an interesting theory.
VFW meeting was a couple weeks back (in 1971 Kerry had called for the destruction of the VFW)
Will be interested to see if Legion members show Kerry their backside, as did many in VFW. Among all the VN vets I know, only a couple are in favor of Kerry. And one of them is wavering...
Before I start faxing it to American Legion posts, and VFW halls, has this been verified to be real?
Doug, I was just told it has also been published on WND, and went to find it. Sure enough:
