I take it you don't like Mike Savage *LOL* Dunno I listened to him Friday and he was going off the deep end that we should nuke the terrorists.
I know some folks like him, but as far as I'm concerned, Savage bugs.
To repeat myself, the only thing worse that Savage on the radio is (was?) Savage on television.
I think he helps our side very little, may even harm us.
Hannity and Rush, however, draw the left and moderates into the right... whether a conservatived is fond of either of them or not, they help us a great deal by just being out there.
How long did it take you to figger that out ?
You should have got that on the first program.
Savage is like a bad preacher. He takes an element of truth and twists it into an entire doctrine.
It is pretty funny sometimes, especially when he goes rabid foaming at the mouth
Savage has a great voice for radio.
I listen to Savage often here in Sacramento. On a couple of occasions, I have found him to be outrageously wrong. But remember, he's an entertainer. He knows it. He's weird and crazy on purpose. And, he's often right on the money. I like him. And when I don't, I turn him off.

I really don't care for Savage. When he agrees with me I am embarrassed about it.
Been saying that for years.
Mike was good about 50% of the time, he has slowly moved that percentage down over the time frame of about two years to about 10% .
I now listen purely to hear him embarrass himself.

Savage has been completely loony for a couple of months. He contradicts himself on a daily basis, and his logic does not follow through. In past years I listened because I often agreed with him, but now his logic is so skewed that I can't tolerate him.
I also am sick of hearing about "him." His self-promotion is way over the top. It's constant.
His fill-in host the other day was so wonderful. When Savage came back the next day, I decided it was time to stop listening.
I quit listening to Savage about 6 months ago. I couldn't take it anymore. I used to listen everyday.
I have no doubt that Michael Weiner (nee 'Savage') is just such a person.
Savage has strong opinions and states them strongly. I agree with some and disagree with some. I suspect you do too.
So there is no reason to treat the Savage Nation as a religion or even a nation. It is just a radio show. You can listen, have your ideas supported or challenged, etc. If you enjoy his show, you should continue to listen. If disagreeing with the host is to much strife for you, you are making the right decision.
I used to listen to Savage every week day.
Didn't take long to realize that some days he was just out to lunch.
I concluded he has a big ego and laps up his own self-importance.
Sometimes, his rants are right, but too many other times, he changes his views depending on the wind flow.
I can't consider him as a viable voice. He is just an entertainer.

I totally agree with this assessment of Savage. I used to be a devoted listener. But lately I can't stand him. I don't think it was I who changed. It was Savage.
That said, I thank God for Michael Savage, who was the very first talk-show host who wasn't afraid to deal with tough issues that the big names wouldn't dare touch, or were too removed from to recognize ie: the massive invasion of 15+MILLION Illegal Aliens into my country.
None before him articulated the rage I felt toward the PC-liberal Marxists and Communists who are taking over my country and hell-bent on destroying America as we've/they've enjoyed it, along with our Blessed U.S.Constitution & Bill of Rights.
Savage is a flawed human being like the rest of us, but he loves this country and isn't afraid to speak out on his beliefs, not just trot out the Party line.
When he is wrong ... when he is just tooooooo full of himself and I can't take it anymore, I hit the dial. But I'll be back in a few days knowing he'll be spouting what he believes, not just what his sponsors and stations will tolerate.

I would gladly follow in your footsteps but, in fact, you are following in mine. I gave up on Savage some months ago for exactly the reasons you stated, in particular the one you noted about his tendency to pontificate on subjects that he knows nothing about. This by itself was almost enough to get me to say bye bye. The endless hyping of his book was a close second. The Bush-bashing was the clincher. .
