Thanks for pinging me on this! I wouldn't have known about this otherwise. I'm not surprised it happened, but I am surprised at the relatively early timing of it (I figured he'd wait until October or so for maximum effect.)
IMO it's worse today because so many mainstream Republicans are into post-America thinking; i.e., embracing diversity and extolling the economic benefits of mass immigration, legal and ILLEGAL; "free" trade transferring technology and investment dollars to developing nations.
I don't remember conservatives threatening to withhold votes from the mainstream Republicans (Rockefeller Republicans) but the mainstream Republicans sure joined the liberals in trashing those who wanted a strong stance against our enemies, foreign and domestic. There they go again.
From the man's own big mouth--that's my source. A caller asked him what the hell his organization is for and said wearing that assinine hat and t-shirt sent a "message." He did not tell of a single other project, lobbying effort, support of candidates or anything else that would indicate his Pal Revere Society was doing a damn thing but raking in bucks for that loud mouth egoist.
Hugh Hewitt is about my favorite radio personality, tho I like Rush, Hannity, Ingram, et al.
We don't need more egotistical nuts like Savage and Buchanan.
WRONG--unless the man changes his opinion every show (which I guess is probably true) I have heard this fool say on any number of ocassions that it makes no difference whether you vote for Stonepuss or Bush. I have heard this nutjob say over and over again he won't be voting all this Nov. That is his right, and it is also my right to point out what a jerk and screwball the man is.
You got that right--just read some of threads from Savageites. They sound about as goofy as Buchannan and "Little General" supporters.
O' Reilly presents himself as an independent thinker representing the "little people" who will protect us from the big and powerful.
That makes me want to Gag, Puke, Toss my Cookies, Throw bricks at T.V., Beat Head against Wall, Kick the Cat.
These type of comments make O' Reilly a pompous jerk.
That would be fraud and serious problems for Savage.
As much as I hate to visit cluttered sites I did visit his website once again. He must do his own coding.
Lots of good links and some links you won't easily find elsewhere but he should separate his personal self from the serious business of BLC. His site is just "too busy" as we used to say but as I have said before, I'll overlook the twenty percent bad for the eighty percent good, IMO.
Here's what I found about PRS. "The Paul Revere Society is a non profit organization as described in section 501(c)(3). All contributions and donations to our organization are tax deductible."
I know from listening to him daily that PRS has paid for ads in major newspapers, helped people with BLC legal matters, contributed money to LEOs wrongly accused, and I believe he said that to date PRS has collected some 250,000 dollars.
You appear to have independent knowledge that strongly indicates fraud. Here is the results of some quick googling. Besides the IRS the FTC gets involved in enforcing "unfair methods." See "Fundraising Fraud" at
http://www.stentorian.com/2ndamend/miscond.html#fund_fraud
Though this site is about exposing the shenanigans of the anti-gun fanatics the information applies across the board. From the same www.stentorian.com page referenced above is this IRS info:
"Where to complain:
"You may contact IRS Customer Service operations concerning tax-exempt organizations at (877) 829-5500 (toll-free number). The call center is open 8:00am to 9:30pm Eastern Time. Or you may write to us at the following address:
"Internal Revenue Service
"TE/GE Division, Customer Service "P.O. Box 2508
"Cincinnati, OH 45201"
They probably have so many complaints about Savage that you'll be directed to a special extension and you can expect to be on hold for a long while. Good luck. : )
Seriously, "loud mouth egoist" yes, it appears. But after ten years of listening to virtually every show including a hand full of unscheduled shows, Savage is no crook IMO.
It is sad that Savage is really losing it lately. I have been a listener for a couple years and his books are great. His stand about borders, language and culture is dead on. The problem has been that in the past few months he has really been acting like a nut. I constantly catch him saying things I know are factually incorrect. He was saying how boycotting the French was pointless and that they cannot make an airplane. He said the French and airplanes, that is an oxymoron. Ever heard of Airbus Savage? Guess not. He makes a fool of himself quite often lately. When he ranted about Reagan's funeral is when I really got sick of it all. Some days he has a great show but lately he has been an ass. His anti-Bush don't bother voting stance is ignorant at best and dangerous at worst. Bush is screwing us on the illegal alien problem but allowing Kerry to take power would be FAR worse in the long run. I also agree that it gets old listening to Savage constantly pat himself on the back. How many times can he talk about his poddle and how great he eats. I dont care about your Poodle Savage. Geez. Get a real dog at least.
I have switched to listening to Mark Levin who is great and isn't a shameless self promotor. Dennis Prager is also great. Very intelligent and well spoken.
Savage can be a genius or a jackass. You never know what your gonna get.
Also, he said tonight that he would not vote if the election was held today. As evidenced on freerepublic, a lot of conservatives are turning against his BS.
