I reccommend to you 'The Ideological Origins of the American Revolution' by Bernard Bailyn.

He clearly shows the roots of American liberty in Non-conformist English Protestantism.

Without liberty, America will be just another socialist wasteland. Judging from some of the rhetoric on this site, if that were to happen, whited sepulcher Christians will have been among those responsible, by blessing Caesar with the authority of God.

Gore3000, I have concluded that you and I are unable to communicate. We read the same thing and come away with two different and irreconcilable understandings.

For instance, I said in post 2540 which was addressed to VadeRetro; gore3000; jennyp; PatrickHenry; Aric2000

As a complying poster, we are all obligated not to bring an accusation against another poster without also showing the evidence of that accusation on the same post (Disclosure clause): ”We will not bring an accusation against another poster or his beliefs without also bringing, on the same post, the evidence for that accusation”

Thus, every accusation on this thread made by a complying poster without such evidence on the same post is of no effect whatsoever and should be ignored by all to avoid inciting anger. Unsupported allegations are meaningless.

You concluded that I was singling you out for criticism. But my words and my intent was speaking to all of us, i.e. any unsupported allegation should be ignored to avoid inciting anger.

The rest of your post is more of such failures to communicate and thus it would be pointless to discuss it any further with you - and I therefore decline to respond to all except this one point:

Let me just say this to you Alamo-Girl, I am deeply troubled by your posts. Not because of what they say to me or about me, but what they say about you. I realize that the desire to be liked and the desire to be a peacemaker are strong human emotions. I realize that your faith and your conscience are strong. However the above human desires have led you to desert your friends and co-religionists and have made you side with those which have forever shown contempt for your beliefs. Worse, look at what their friendship has cost you - to write the above drivel which I know, for I hold you in far too much respect, must have hurt your conscience, your sense of fairness and your sense of decency to utter. So therefore Alamo-Girl, I ask you to examine your actions in the light of your faith and your conscience before your adherence to your new friends leads you to eternal error.

To be very, very clear on this to everyone Lurking our conversation - I am a Christian. I love God absolutely and I love every mortal unconditionally. I pray for everyone, including my enemies. I do not value another Christian or friend above a non-Christian or an enemy.

I am in this world but I am not of this world. The One to whom I kneel and in Whom I abide, is Jesus. I will not compromise the Word to keep the friendship of another Christian or to make friends with anyone else.

Every time I post, I pray. After I post, I pray. God is my witness, my guide and my judge in all my dealings in this mortal plane, including everything I have said and done on this forum.

All of the ill tempered posts directed towards me cost me nothing, gore3000. Indeed, if I lose a “friend” by trying to do the right thing according to the Word, it counts as a blessing as long as I abide in Him.

If you (or anyone else) have a complaint against me with regard to my eternal well-being or conduct as a Christian, please take it to the Judge.

As a final note, I want to make it clear to all Lurking that I will post abuse on stalking. I am not accusing you of stalking, gore3000 – but stalking has been going on, and if it continues, I will report it because such obsessive hatred is unhealthy to everyone on the forum.
