We both seem to have noticed a parallel with liberal activism. But of course, it isn't exactly the same parallel!
Interestingly, the anti-war protestors of the 60's "wrote the book" (literally) on activism. Even here on Free Republic we borrow many of their techniques, like having witnesses (or video-tape) of the protest if we expect trouble, using clever chants, reducing issues to emotional logos, etc.
