As the daughter of 2 raging, passing out in their dinner plate drunks, who drove me around drunk the whole time I was growing up, then quit when I was 16 and wondered where they went wrong with me (that was then, this is now), and then both still died from the horrific effects the alcohol had on their bodies (cirrohsis, liver cancer, stomach cancer) even after they had quit, alcohol seems to be much more of a health risk to me.

All those drugs Jack was taking, that's nuts. I would say the prescription drugs led to more drugs, not the marijuana.

It is. I started drinking at age 16 despite my father whopping the crap out of me when he caught me. Drank heavily for twenty years and finally kicked it. Destroyed my liver but I'm pretty much recovered now. I smoked pot but never liked it much. If you're gonna destroy yourself you're gonna do it no matter what and no amount of lecturing, laws, religion or threats are gonna stop you. Unless of course you just put everyone in prison which would make some people happy. Just my opinion.

ref: your post #6 . You are correct. Alcohol is MUCH more debilatative, and addictive, than pot. Its not even close.
