The Founding Fathers had nothing like that in mind for the American people and the future of our Constitutional Republic.

The founders had a vision of a small unintrusive government. Totally at odds with the current situation and also the vision of many of the authoritarians found here.

Actually, with no gun control, no income tax, no controlled substances, no minimum drinking age, no standing armies, and no federal government, the original Confederation came pretty darn close.

If the Founders could have seen what would eventually be wrought in the name of the Constitution, I'd bet they'd have kept the old Articles.
