...should we care what Harry Browne has to say?

Harry Browne says, "Trust yourselves, your own intellect, and the Constitution." He quotes the Founding Fathers. He tells you to compare the political promises to the realities that have become history. He tells you to study the founding documents and compare them to the current situation in your government. George Bush says, "Trust me". His father said, "Read my lips...".

And then you choose GWB as the one you trust.

But, but, H. Browne only got 1% of the vote!!! 1%!!!!!! He's a loser!!!! GWB is a winner, get it? A winner...(sarcasm)

Bush, whether you like it or not, mostly not, has to be trusted right now. What other choice is there? Harry wields no power, while Bush is trying to preserve the security of this country, and several other smaller nations, from the barbarians. You think I SHOULDN'T trust him now? So until that day when Harry takes the oath of office, I will continue to disregard his musings.

I wish some of the libertarians would accept this fact of why Bush has our support.War time requires it.Things like solidarity, committment, sacrifice, take precedence over my pet issues, and hey, when your guy pulls less than 0.4% of the vote, anything a Libertarian advocates is a pet issue.None of it resonates with the broad electorate.

What concerns me more is why a libertarian, in these times, would seek to question the motives of the POTUS? Why is a libertarian alinged against his CIC in a time of War?
