In another life, used to hang out at John Lee Hooker’s house—he told me, and I think more tongue in cheek, is that dfamn George would come over to the house and rummage through that box of music, (he said, pointing to a box along the wall of the living room), and steal his music to play. Now we know George was a modern day clone of JLH, so John Lee must have loved it that his music was still being spread around. (this was in the mid-80s)
I can believe that. His Madison Blues with Albert Collins is one of my favorites.
