I don't presume to read Morgana's mind or speak for her/him, but I presume part of it is to lend balance to the view that is common here that the modern secular State of Israel is equivalent to biblical Israel, which it is not on many levels. While they are a valuable military ally to us in many ways in that region and as a nation have many admirable traits, this modern State is no more holier than any other nation and should not have our unqualified support in all things or be an object of religious significance to Christians in End Times or any other scenario.
