First of all Chlamydia is bacterial, which is why it is mainly spread through very close, usually sexual, contact.
They have said this is a flu-like disease, which means it is viral. Birds are a common vector for virus, perhaps some of which may jump to humans.
So its basically a flu. why are they calling it “chlamydia?”
