George W. Bush Recounts the Time Vladimir Putin 'Dissed' His Dog

Former President George W. Bush offered some unique insight into the psyche of Russian President Vladimir Putin this week, relaying an exchange the world leaders once had years ago involving their pets.

Bush, headlining a benefit fundraiser for the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center on Tuesday, recounted the story of how he once hosted Putin and introduced him to his Scottish Terrier, Barney.

"I introduced Vladimir Putin to Barney, our Scottish terrier, and [he] dissed him," Bush told the audience during a Q&A, Politico reports.

Bush continued: "A year later, Laura and I go visit Vladimir and his wife — this was before he decided to be with a gymnast 30 years younger — and he says, 'I want you to meet my dog.' I said, 'Yeah, sure.' And I'll never forget, out runs a huge Russian hound," Bush said. "And Putin says 'Bigger, stronger, and faster than Barney.' "

Continuing his story, Bush added that he relayed the anecdote to the Canadian prime minister, who responded: "At least he only showed you his dog."

The Bush's dog, Barney, was a loyal friend to the family until his death in 2013, at which time the former president said the terrier "never discussed politics and was always a faithful friend."

You can tell the deep state is in on this war.

W has crawled out of the woodwork and the press is giving him fawning coverage.

So, isn’t this POS W Bush, who’s now trying to mock Putin with lame anecdotes, the same guy that said “I looked into his eyes and saw his soul and found him trustworthy”?

Georgie boy was in way over his head as Pres. What a complete tool. Go back to your bathtub paintings, you traitorous jerk.

We could be speeding straight into a WW3 situation, maybe even a nuclear bombing, any day now, and this is what Mr. Bush choses to share with the public at this time.
I appreciate George Bush’s story about one of his cherished pets, but it sure would be nice to get some feedback on other topics.

Oh, that’s right. When a Democrat is the president, GWB clams right up. I almost forgot!

Not one word out of W for 8 years while Obama destroyed America, but he can come out of his bathtub to trash Trump and support deep state operations.

A girl I dated back in the 70s had a dog named “Checkers”, inspired by Nixon’s dog.

Dang thing used to hump my leg when I went over to pick her up for a date, embarrassing to say the least.

I hate Putin, but if anyone could make me like him it would be the idiot George Bush, Jr.

Google “Gush Katif”. Read the Wikipedia article.

That was my home.

That was 2005.

What idiot US President forced that?

With less than ten months to go in office, Bush is looking to add some luster to a foreign policy legacy seen by many as little short of disastrous. His latest initiative is to give a hefty push to the ambitions of two former Soviet Union states, Ukraine and Georgia, to become members of NATO.

Stopping off in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev for talks with President Viktor Yuschenko, Bush declared that he was strongly behind the two countries’ bids to join NATO, for which the first step would be admission to a “MAP” or Membership Action Plan.

He told Yuschenko at a joint media facility that “the U.S. strongly supports your request” and added that he would argue forcefully in Bucharest for that to come about.

I am old enough remember whenever a Gazprom affiliated company invested $4 million in a small Texas company(SI Diamond) for FPD’s developmental purposes. Failed effort.
This small company was initially founded by the person who first hired this Bush for his first job out of college—horticultural evaluation.
He wasn’t CEO at the time of Russian investment though.
These ex-patriate Russians now Texans brought expertise in edge field emission devices now being used presently in the agricultural industry for sanitizing surfaces with.
Created a cost efficient way to use low level X-rays having failed in the display business. Diamond emission fields were discovered to be more complicated than previously thought per research outcomes.
Others areas of benefit are also using related science.
