In general, I find people that are ignorant of technology & science can be easily convinced of almost anything - especially if they lack critical thinking skills. Unfortunately, this is now the norm.
This whole thing was handled in exactly the opposite manner that it should have been. That alone is highly suspicious. Once we knew it was a disease, like many, that hurts old people with other problems our policies should have reflected it. They never did, in fact we doubled down by forcing COVID patients into nursing homes. Shutting down small businesses so everyone has to go into the same big businesses is absurd. Wearing these masks is absurd. Shutting down schools is absurd. Arresting people outside for not wearing a mask is absurd.
I can go on - but all these things were claimed to be appropriate because of ‘the science’. There’s no ‘science’ that comes to these conclusions. These are nothing but authoritarian policies created by older folks (politicians) because it made THEM feel safer and make them more wealthy (stocks in big business and kickbacks from them for campaigns). This has been nothing but a massive violation of peoples’ rights yet nobody is going to be accountable.
How on earth does any free country allow the destruction of small businesses by labeling them as “non-essential”? Essential to whom? They’re certainly essential to the millions of small business owners and their employees. What a massive overreach by government.
The continued government checks are keeping small business employees from returning to work. This is also by design and deliberate. It’s as if they only want big business employers or people dependent on government. Easier to control everyone? It can be the only answer. The USA has become what it is due to entrepreneurs starting their own business and thriving, this is being systematically destroyed. It’s all part of the ‘lower all boats’ philosophy of the left - to gain ‘equality’, which is the only way that can be achieved.
...just 3 weeks to flatten the curve.

Great post.
You sound like Thomas Sowell (couldn’t pay a higher compliment).
