A Chinese woman gained more than a daughter-in-law at her son’s wedding last month — when she discovered the bride was actually her biological child.
The woman noticed for the first time at the March 31 wedding that her son’s bride had a distinctive birthmark on one of her hands — just like the child she gave up for adoption years ago, the Oriental Daily reported.
The stunned woman turned to the bride’s parents and asked, “Did you by any chance adopt your daughter?’’ the outlet said. The bride’s parents responded yes — revealing a secret they had kept from everyone for more than 20 years: They had found their daughter on the side of the road.

Okay, who pays for this wedding?
They found a baby by the side of the road?? Fairy tale or China during One Child Policy era?
Just imagine the woman who abandoned you to be found on the side of the road is now your mother in law
um... wouldn’t that mean the bride and groom where brother and sister?
The woman should have carried her secret to her grave.
Step brother and Step sister?
They aren’t biologically related since both were adopted.
West By-God Jiangsu-inia..
That would’ve been an easier title, but it doesn’t sound so confusing.
The Bio Mom of the Bride adopted the Groom after abandoning the daughter.
Guess it’s because boys are more desirable in China than girls.
So she leaves her biological child on the side of the road and adopts another. Then they marry each other. Got it.
only in America.
Quick, call Maury Povich!
One from corumn A and one from corumn B. Vewy interdasting.
No. The son was adopted by the “biological mother” so the two are unrelated.
Does that qualify as "giving up for adoption"? Sounds more like abandonment.
God works in mysterious ways.................
Common in China during the ‘One Child’ Maoist years.............
Many, many years ago when I was 23
I was married to a widow who was pretty as can beThis widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red
My father fell in love with her and soon they too were wedThis made my dad my son-in-law and really changed my life
For now my daughter was my mother ‘cause she was my father’s wifeAnd to complicate the matter even though it brought me joy
I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boyMy little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad
And so he became my uncle though it mad me very sad
For if he were my uncle that would also made him brother
Of the widows grown-up daughter who was of course my stepmotherFather’s wife then had a son who kept them on the run
And he became my grandchild for he was my daughter’s sonMy wife is now my mother’s mother and it makes me blue
Because although she is my wife she’s my grandmother twoNow if my wife is my grandmother then I’m her grandchild
And every time I think of it, nearly drives me wild’Cause now I have become the strangest case you ever saw
As husband of my grandmother I am my own grandpaw
