3D-printed guns are coming to America unless Congress acts. But the NRA doesn't want them to.

It took a federal judge and a temporary injunction on Tuesday night but, at least until next Thursday, it's not yet legal for anyone with access to a 3D printer, the correct materials and enough patience for a YouTube tutorial to print any kind of guns from the comfort of their own home. The last minute court ruling comes on the heels of a settlement between Trump's State Department — which had initially called the gun blueprints a violation of U.S. export law — and the Texas-based nonprofit Defense Distributed, which legally permits the latter to re-release the plans.

In truth, probably only Congress, which declined to do so on Tuesday, can stop 3D-printed plastic guns from becoming a reality in America.

But the only sound coming from Republican leadership on the issue of regulating 3D-printed guns is their efforts to block legislation to prevent the plans' release; the president tweeted only that he's "looking into it" and consulting the NRA. (Notably, in 2013, the NRA opposed any expansion of the Undetectable Firearms Act that would've made it illegal for individuals to create these weapons, so one can imagine how they advised him.) Sadly, at a time when members of Congress are being duped into enthusiastically endorsing fake programs that promote arming children and the president praises the NRA at their own convention, neither is a surprise....

Congress can’t stop me from watching a bootleg copy of Police Academy 3.

So, yeah....good luck with that.

The NRA is telling the truth it is you and people like you that are ignorant and full of crap.

Undetectable guns are already illegal, but there is no such thing as an undetectable handgun that will actually go bang. It simply does not exist. To go bang the pistol needs a firing pin, metal, and ammo, also metal and both are very detectable by metal detectors.

And just as another couple side notes that people who actually know guns are aware of. Plastic handguns have a habit of blowing up. The single shot handguns they are talking about takes at least 30 seconds to reload between shots. My compound bows are a hell of a lot more deadly, I can let lose three well aimed broadheads in that amount of time and bows and arrows are not numbered or restricted from ownership by felons.

Look up 80% receivers, oh my, is your ignorance apparent yet? It is to everyone else.

OK how about this, I own and can effectively and efficiently set up, operate, and use a CNC machine that can take solid chunks of metal and turn them into guns... Yes I can!!!!

So are you going to outlaw computer controlled milling machines just because they can possibly create a firearm?

Are you going to put machinists in prison because they have the skills to make firearms?

And just so you know, the CAD programs that are used to set up the CNC machines have been available for free download for the last decade or two.

A firearm is a tool that can be made by many people. There are vids on you-tube of uneducated peasants with only an anvil, a hammer, cold chisels, shovel heads and a pile of smoldering coal making AK receivers.

The stupidity and gun ignorance of the left never stops amazing me.

The 3-D deal has me torn - it’s akin to putting a bunch of inherently ready to fail Saturday Night specials out there...I wonder who gets sued when a few blow up or have other catastrophic failures because someone went cheap on the materials/final precision steps or used too hot a round....even toasters have safety standards ...

The bottom line is to bring guns to the culture, and that means to make women accept guns the way they demanded electronics when the iphone came up with one button and apps

The same can be done to bring women and the culture to guns with 3D printing

Enough of this bullsht of criminals 3D printing guns. These guys are not mechanically or legally challenged like women and are not going to use that

Criminal hackers use command line programming and not iphone apps to hack

The same goes for gunsmithing, criminals go for much more sophisticated hacks and political manipulations than 3D printing

Plastic 3D printing is not what criminal organizations are going to use to hack an airport

This is a direct question, what organization has done more for the gun owners of this country?

Now to cover your BS claim that the NRA was penetrated by the Russians.

The lady from Russia whom you are talking about had more meetings with the Obama administration officials than she did the NRA.

If “A” is true, then “B” absolutely has to be true as well.

So if you are honest at all you must admit that the Obama administration was penetrated by the Russians intelligence operative as well?

That she had contact with both are provable.

The only question here is if you are honest or not.
