British MP: We Must Be Willing To Shoot Russian Jet Down In Syria
AMN ^ | October 12, 2016 | By Paul Antonopoulos

Andrew Mitchell, a senior member of the UK's parliament and former international development secretary, said to the BBC that the UK must be willing to shoot down Russian jets to supposedly protect civilians on the ground.

"What we are saying is very clear. No one wants to see a firefight with Russia, no one wants to shoot down a Russian plane," Mitchell said. "But what we do say is that the international community has an avowed responsibility to protect and that protection must be exerted.

"If that means confronting Russia air power defensively, on behalf of the innocent people on the ground who we are trying to protect, then we should do that," the Tory MP noted.

Mitchell in his arrogance believes that such an attack would not mean a "declaration of war against Russia".

Absolutely insane unless your goal is to go to war with Russia, China and Iran. In other words start World War III

Metropolitan areas will not be the place to be after a Russian jet is shot down in Syria. They were “invited” to Syria.

This could escalate quickly. IMHO, that we’ve gotten to this point is the result of mistake after mistake after mistake in foreign policy over the past several years.

This comes as there are reports the US and its partners in crime will try to to provide military cover for thousands of ISIS rats fleeing from Mosul into Syria

Maybe it’s time for Russia’s partners the Iranians and chinese to up their game in and over Syria and see how willing lapdog England is to go to war to protect ISIS

Unless I missed something, Syria is still a sovereign nation, and the US and it’s “coalition” are the invaders, and supporters of the terrorists there trying to oberthrow the government by force.

How would the Brits feel if several African nations started sending billions of dollars in cash and weapons to “civilians” attacking and trying to overthrow the British government?

The irony in all this is the possibility the love
and peace generation starts the mother of all wars.

Yeah well, y’all have enough to do getting out of the EU, so best you concentrate on that.

You idiots are reminding me of Nena’s ‘99 balloons’ song. Maybe she had a point.

and of course, when that does start a war with Russia, we will be obligated to defend them and I seem to remember a whole bunch of us here predicting that Obama would embroil us in a war as justification to suspend the election if that became necessary.

There’s an old Greco/Roman saying: those who the gods destroy, they first make insane. Well western leader have clearly gone insane and our destruction will surely follow if we don’t remove them.

Exactly! Fact is Russia has been feeling like a cornered badger (bear) for many months if not years for a myriad of reasons to them.
Acts of war against them and/or their ally (syria) cannot be interpreted in any other way than blatent prodding to war with them.

It is like some kind of timetable has been advanced or something. This is bizarre.

They and we seem to forget that Russia is there because they were asked to be by the government of Syria. We were not. And maybe someone could educate me on niceties of international law, but what right do we have to be supporting terrorists and now apparently talking about shooting down Russians fighting those terrorists?
