... LOL ... thanks! I knew it would happen ... :-) ...
Good thing you don't have any negative opinions and aren't against anyone who's not part of your church.
Participants on “open” threads on the Religion Forum are given lots of leeway to debate, criticize—even ridicule things they don’t believe (within reason and as long as they don’t make it personal).
Please refer to the Religion Forum rules: http://www.freerepublic.com/~religionmoderator/
You’ve got to have a thick skin on open debate threads on that forum. I don’t so I avoid the place as much as possible. And I don’t belong to any organized religion.
Sorry, hate to see you go.
God bless.
... LOL ... Freepers are so willing to oblige ... :-) ...
John 13:34-35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Yeah, it has been getting worse, recently ... I hope that Obama has not rubbed off on us permanently!
More like *choose* to forget...
Yeah, I’ve been consigned to hell for not following Catholicism since I accepted Christ and the FRoman Catholics are no different than the real life ones I worked with for so many years.
I’m not sorry if I think abortion is the most diabolical cruelty in this world and is the #1 issue that must be stopped. If being pro-life, anti-government oppression, adamantly pro-second amendment, and a woman of Hispanic descent who abhors illegal immigration and amnesty isn’t enough to be considered conservative, then no wonder some folks here can’t decide who’s righteous enough to be a true Christian.
Talking about movies, food and kitties is a way to be friendly with people; it’s a way to get people to know you as a person. But if you prefer to communicate with people by wagging your finger at them for wearing rosaries, then by all means, continue to show the world how uber-conservative you are!
Really? I guess I’ve had different experiences. What I like are the categories that they set up there and you can pick the right category you want inside the Religion Forum ... and the moderation will vary according to that category. That was a very good move!
Why are you posting to me? I never told you you were going to hell.
.
With respect, if this were true, you wouldn't have made this post. You're offended, which happens on the internet from time to time.
For every thread you mention which offends your sensibilities, I as a Protestant have to wade through an equal number of 'Return to Rome' threads which tell me I'm going to hell if I don't recognize the 'True Church'.
I read the religion threads and even post from time to time, but they aren't for the faint of heart. On the contrary, I have found my faith strengthened by going to the Bible and rediscovering what I believe.
The family of Christ does disagree, but as I have posted before, that doesn't bother me because if it did bother me I'd become Catholic.
Bless your day.
Why would I send you hate mail? You said your piece in a very respectful manner.
I just lost my patience with it all and needed to vent a bit before heading off. If I had left without saying anything, I know I would have grumbled to myself for days. This was a release. I really do wish you all well. I just can’t do it here anymore.
I want to put my word in here and say I truly appreciate the Religion Forum and the different categories it has for different purposes! That was a GREAT IDEA! I really appreciate those categories.
I agree about the religious bickering. Hardly Christian behavior. Turning the other cheek gets old. Please stay, I usually stay off the religious threads, the hate there is indeed contagious if you allow it into your day. Just don’t even read them. If they get nasty, go to another thread. Peace be with you.
Thank you. It's nice to be recognized for my efforts...
If you recheck what I wrote .. I added the following: ;All
That means and everybody on the thread will get a copy of what I wrote .. and I am sure some of them will have the need to yell at me.
But, like I said, I’ve already heard it all.
I said I’m a believer in Christ. Because I do not ascribe to the Apostle’s Creed, I cannot in all honestly call myself a Christian.
And your question is silly. Any poster in good standing on this site should be able to address this issue, regardless of their religious views. Don’t you see the discord these arguments cause? Everyone suffers because a few posters cannot stop fighting.
Anyway, that’s the last from me. Thanks, take care, and I hope that you are a much nicer person in real life than this Alex Murphy character you play on FR.
Heh... need that pic of Curly Bill saying, “..well, bye.”
:D
