I remember her speaking at that homo event a few months ago, and she has kinda drop out of sight ever since.
Ann is too much a loud-mouth for me to respect and listen too.
So the “Left” is going to attack now only in a non hysterical way?
He was horrible but then again what do we expect to change?
According to Mark Belling (Wisconsin talk show host) who sometimes sits in for Rush, Priebus is a dyed-in-the wool conservative. He was responsible for finding canidates to run for office here in WI. Best known find: (Now) Senator Ron Johnson who beat Russ Feingold.
Priebus was hounding Steele about RNC fundraising prior to his election.
So may not be so bad after all.
Okay. Steele is history. But who is this Reince Priebus dude? If he is so HOT, howcum I, a news/political junky never heard of him? And what, based on past achievements is he going to do for the Republican Party? Is he an old establishment RINO pusher?
If the midterm election was a metric, Steele done good...despite pissing many off along the way.
Judged by fundraising, he did not do good.
Times change, Steele can get another job, and still contribute, and give somebody else a chance now.
I hope the new guy raises more money. (Money comes from the “establshment GOP” in case you don’t realize that).
Like when they turned on McCain right after he locked up the primaries? BTW, when was the last time a leftist attack wasn't hysterical?
Ann, the media had no problem saying “gotcha’” to Bob Packwood, and he was a no good liberal pro abort Republican.
Don't worry, Ann, starting tomorrow they will hysterically attack Priebus.
She is very good at what she does. No giant news story in this country passes without her making incendiary, attention-getting remarks. Sarah Palin has learned a lot from Ann, but Sarah applies it with a softer brush, and has higher aspirations. Ann would never consider a position as serious as a governorship, let alone the presidency.
Why would the left attack him? the guy is in their corner.
Indeed, Ann. We kicked Steele to the curb to bring in a REAL RINO.
Shut up, Ann.
It’s time that faulty logic die.
The left attacked John McCain. He’s certainly no conservative stalwart but he was a Republican running against Obama so he became a target (yes Leftists I am inciting violence!).
Steele was the RNC Chairman and black. That was enough to make him an enemy to them. It doesn’t mean he was effective at the job or a friend to conservatives.
Don’t worry. The left will attack and ridicule Priebus soon enough. I suspect it will start from making fun of his name.
I believe that Ann is suffering from a very human case of jealousy. She’s been digging herself into a hole since the night Sarah Palin made her acceptance speech in 2008.
Up until that time, she was the pistol-packin, tough-as-nails, uber-conservative, in heels and a little black dress, of right-wing America.
Sarah more or less knocked her off that pedestal, and she’s been getting dopier and dopier, ever since.
I wish conservatives and pubs would just STFU and let Steele leave quietly with his dignity. He’s a good, decent man who made some mistakes but also did some things well.
Coulter is right that the left hates Steele, but they hate all of us. What she said is irrelevant.
Tomorrow the left will be spewing their usual ignorance with two main themes: 1) The pub party is racist because they booted a black man 2). Making fun of Priebus’s name
Take it to the bank.
STEELE WAS A COWARD, a skilled coward. He was attacked bythe left because he was an uncle TOM black, not because he was
not a RINO.
Steele had it all, a solid foundation from which he could not be attacked or criticized, but instead of helping the conservative movement, ,he followed the RINO line, until too late, when he finally saw the truth of the tea party as a grass roots movement which could rejuvinate the GOP. He tried in his last few months to make amends but he just was not powerful enough to do so because of his previous RINO line of policy. Too litte too late.
Now we have a young man who has a record, a crucial role in unseating Feinstein, and who is a mover and a shaker. I believe that our new chairman can look at Steele’s mistakes and not repeat them. If he does, its the end of the GOP.
I disagree with Anne on this score. Steele made his own bed, no one else did.Steele had a chance to be historically significant, but he did not have the courage until far too late in the game. And so he fades, but can still help the GOP if he chooses to work for the rejuvination of the GOP, in ways no one else can.And if he is the man Anne says he is, he will indeed. Time will tell.
I think Annie hit her head at a Romney rally in 2008 and hasn’t been the same since.
