I am aware of the desire to prove the birth place of Barack Obama, now President of the United States. It will surely come out if David Jeffrey Bomford is either entirely a victim in this case- or he may know more than he is saying.

I think it best if I refrain from saying whether the Australian birth certificate is genuine or not. For what it is worth though and my hobby is family history, I checked on the names of his parents.

Doreen Betty Bomford (formerly Loxton).

I find Doreen Betty Bomford (Loxton) 1928-2002) is interred at Houghton Cemetery in Australia. Her husband is Al Bomford and various children are named including David. I had thought I was onto something when I could not find any Alaric Bomford. Yet, Alaric was the name of a fierce Germanic leader who helped destroy Rome in the fifth century. Not a name that would have gone by without some jesting in that country, Australia.

Sufficient to say, I guess "Al" does it. I merely offer this for what it is worth. Again, America deserves better of the Presidency. A more open Presidency.

From the Nov. 14, 1995 Advertiser (Honolulu)

Stanley Ann Dunham, also known as Ann Dunham Sutoro, an anthropologist, of Honolulu died last Tuesday in Straub Hospital.

Dunham, 52, was born in Wichita, Kan. She is survived by mother Madelyn L.; daughter Maya K. Soetoro; and son Barack H. Obama.

Private services. Donations may be made to the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii or charity.

Just double-checked the year of death and year of the article. It was 1995. The Obit says she was 52, which is correct, since she was born Nov. 29, 1942 and hadn’t yet reached her 53rd birthday at the time of death.

Another issue: Obit states she was born in Wichita, but Wikipedia says Ft. Leavenworth. I believe I saw her a copy of her birth certificate - the authenticity of which I have no reason to question - placing her birth in Wichita, IIRC.

Also, notice the discrepancy in spelling between “Sutoro” as her aka name, and “Soetoro” as her daughter’s name.
