Indeed. And abortion is an anethma to Catholics. Politicians who support killing innocent children are simply beyond the pale.

Ya, to about half or so of those who self identify as "Catholics," maybe a tad less, particularly if you are talking about other than late term abortions. "Catholics" don't have views on this issue that vary much from the population at large - - indeed they are slightly more inclined to some degree of "choice" on abortion, than the population at large. At least that is my recollection for the Pew polls on the issue. I might be off a bit, but only by a bit.
