Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.

And all those points ARE around and could be adversely affected by a bad USSC nomination - negating many gains made in the last six years.
Rudy ain't the man.

He won't end up the nominee. The R's, if they have learned anything, will have a true conservative or as close to that as possible as a runner. Otherwise, they will have to get used to a Black Tuesday every November election.

"Conservative" is a title that progressives gave stealth progressives..
Both are socialists..
The socialists despise the "right wing".. always referred to as the extreme right wing.. or extremists.. The republican party has become the party of conservatives..
There is NO, ZERO organized right wing in the United States..
Brilliant Brain washing on a massive scale..
Are YOU a conservative?...

He's talking about the conservatism that's palpable in the boardroom. Can't please all of the people all of the time... where have you gone, Ronald Regan???

Exactly.
The good thing about all this dissent and bellyaching is that the more bellyachers and critics he attracts, the more $ he will draw in and more support he will garner.

God helps those who help themselves. We will put a candidate in the running, and in office.

If we're going to nominate a real "Reagan Conservative" it's going to have to be done with a grass roots effort.
The GOP is too stuck on itself to ever go back to it's conservative roots without being forced (like with Harriet Miers).
So I've made a commitment to speak up and promote the man whom I believe is our best representative.
Duncan Hunter!
And it doesn't bother me when people say "Who?" or "He can't be elected."
Because he is STILL the best conservative we have available, IMHO.

The hildabeast in any position of real authority is your worst nightmare. Quantum levels worse than any alternative with an "R" associated with their name.
You may stand on principle but we will all get knocked down by the unprincipled.

"The hard nosed purists that only test their candidates by the abortion issue can enable the hildabeast by opposing a candidate that can beat "it" purely on a one dimensional issue."
The abortion litmus test is exactly what makes the left wing so repulsive.
The thought that a "conservative" would sell out for the same reason is also disgraceful.
I will support ANYONE that the Republicans nominate be it Newt or Rudy or anyone in between.
THE ISSUE is the War on Islamic Terror and defeating the repulsive Psycho Whore from Chappaqua.

"Why do the conservatives have to be the ones who must compromise?
Why can't the RINOs compromise?"
Maybe because they only compromise with their left wing friends.

Feb. 5, 2008, may become Super-Duper Tuesday with, perhaps, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Utah voting on the same day..
Think about that. That means the nominee won't just be able to go to IA and NH shake some hands and come from nowhere.
They will need an entire national ground game and close to 100 million to buy radio and TV ads within a year.
They have to make the ads ....hire thousands of people..pollsters...consultants...the logistacs in this time constrant are staggering.
There are 5-6 people in the country who can pull that off. Rudy,Romney,McCaine, Hillary and maybe Obama, Colin Powell,Edwards.
The rest of the pack is already toast.

The RINOs have already compromised - with the Democrat's leftist social agenda. They believe that no one of importance really cares about those issues. If Rudy came out tomorrow as pro-life, and ready to oppose the homosexual juggernaut, I wouldn't believe him, it would not be a position he could take honestly.

Yup. The Duncan Hunter groupies are very much like the Democrats who think Dennis Kucinich can get elected. Responsible citizens realize in the big games, you play the big hitters, not the bench warmers. Activists, well, they're a different animal.

"Under Giuliani, the city gained some 430,000 new jobs to reach its all-time employment peak of 3.72 million jobs in 2000, while the unemployment rate plummeted from 10.3 to 5.1 percent."
I guess we then have to give Clinton credit for the budget surplus then? When Rudy left office what was the deficit? Bill Clintoon was as amazing as Rudy was.
$2-billion deficit and a $42-billion debt.?
This guy is amazing. St. Rudy!

If the New York Times hates him that is good enough for me.I think many people should recognize that not all of us Conservative grew up in small town evangelical environments and not all of us had guns or care to have them. Most of us Urban Conservatives don't really care about these issues. In fact many of the Conservatives I know around me are actually pro-choice. We generally keep it quiet here, because as I say it is not a major issue. We would rather see the party win which is more important. But, now that we see us losing ground outside of small town America and the South we can be flexible the other way. But, we still remember that we have to live with our small town allies (whom we usually agree with) and cooperate accordingly to achieve our most important goals.

You are correct. I realized that as soon as I posted my comment. The RINO liberal GOP has already compromised all moral principles. They are no different than Democrats.

Conservative doesn't necessarily mean Religious Conservative.
Would you call Reagan a religious conservative? I want a Reaganite, not a reversion to pre-Reagan Republicanism.
