Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.
Hey, at least this time I didn't call Giuliani "Giussolini" or a "gun-grabbing abortionist". He's still a liberal.
Exactly why Republicans are losing ground ... because some argue that Rudy is conservative. I don't need The American Spectator or City Journal to tell me that they think Rudy is conservative deep down somewhere. I have listened to Rudy himself about what Rudy believes ... and he is no conservative IMHO.
Except that Rudy took away guns from long-time permit holders in NYC that Dinkins never tried to take away.
Rudy lines up with Joe Lieberman. Not quite crazy wacko leftist, but far from conservative.
(1) Gun control was already NYC policy; Rudy cracked down on the felons illegally owning guns. If you think he's going to suddenly ban guns as President you are simply crazy
(2) Abortions declined under Rudy as he kicked the losers off of the welfare rolls, which made single women more responsible. As Mayor, he didn't enact any abortion policies
(3) Illegal immigration - There weren't hordes of illegal aliens living in NYC at the time, particularily from Mexico. Although Rudy's decision was flawed, he was simply trying to protect the rich cultural heritage of NYC.
You know, after reading your angry screed, I'd say you're Just A Dumb Blonde.
That just ain't right
Pro-Homo Agenda?
"But ... but ... you have to be willing to compromise! It doesn't matter if what you're compromising comprises the core of the ideology. As long as you get someone elected who has an "R" behind his name. He could be Chuck Hagel. Or John McCain. Heck, he could be Hillary Clinton if she'd change her party affiliation."
Hillary Clinton is precisely what you will get if you don't compromise. And watch her appoint some of the most liberal judges in the country to the Supreme Court instead of the moderately conservative to conservative judges Rudy will likely appoint.
Honestly, if people such as yourself on this board stand by their current position and vote for someone like Duncan Hunter in the primaries, you will be doing Rudy a favor because he will get the moderate Republican votes.
Examples?
I have seen no more evidence of this than I see that all religious conservatives are secretly homosexual pervs and/or stealing their constituents' money, just because some are.
I suspect it's more about religious conservatives not wanting non-religious ones to get a foothold and be seen as something other than boogeymen.
Be that as it may, you're still going to have to vote for him if he ends up the nominee.

Sorry, but Rudy ain't it.
What is a conservative, these days?
Neither is a liberal northeastern-corridor RINO being a FRONT RUNNER as a REPUBLICAN presidential candidate.
I'm not voting for him. Period.
'DocH' IS NOT offensive.
Or else the GOP will fall on its arse.
Abortions declined nationwide since 1992. Rudy Giuliani had nothing to do with the decline. In fact, he said he would pay for his own daughter to have one.
