(America Votes: So sad to find out the majority is self-centered, short-sighted, and impatient.)
I don't condone homosexuality, but when is the last time anybody saw an article apparently intended only to remind the reader that Rosie O'Donnell or Katie Couric is a lesbian? I won't talk about Hillary Clinton in this post because I don't want the moderator to remove it.

Don't worry...be Happy!

Seems like some Freepers here would ram a pitch fork into Mary's gut and toss here into the fires of hell for her evil act of having a child.
What in gods name do you expect the president to say? The times they are a changing and polite society will have to adapt. Sorry folks.

It's all about class and social status isn't it? Would you feel the same way if it was a pair of lower middle class lesbians raising a kid that goes to an inner city public school where his/her classmates teased him/her that his/her parents were carpetmunching queers and that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?

Love the Christian attitudes on this thread. God bless Mary and her baby.

Do you really think that conservatism can be divorced from morality?

But George W is the Commander in Chief, and we all tune our instruments to his pitch pipe. If he says this is GOOD, then it must be good for everyone, and we can shuck Holy Matrimony and just have babies with anyone, however, and forget about Original Design, Proven Universal laws.....

Yep,the poor child will be part of a loving family, will have super achieving and famous grandparents and will have all the advantages a hunded or so million $ can bring.... Hell, he/she might even grow up to be a political figure and do some good in the world....Its so sad

Hah, whatever. Ready or not, god or not, Armageddon seems to be brewing and we're suppose to smile and be happy for the vicepresident's dike daughter getting pregnant. Look 35 years in the future and do you believe that if this country continues down the path it is going that that hunded or so million dollars will be able to buy a happy meal at the newly Chinese owned McD's?

NOBODY here hates or blames the baby. The baby is innocent.
What we despise is this high profile lesbian allowing herself and her situation to be used by gay activists and the media to further an agenda that will, given enough time, KILL THIS NATION.

I despise what Mary Cheney has done, but I also understand that the President has a duty to be the leader of all the American people. In this instance, such a duty may have publicly "tied his tongue." Given the problems that other Presidential and Vice Presidential children and siblings have had, including those of his own young adult years, Neil Bush, and the son and daughter of Jeb Bush, it is difficult to be harsh publicly within the "family." To my knowledge, you would have to go back to Eisenhower to find a President and a Presidential family that was scandal free. And even he reportedly had an affair with Kay Summersby, his British secretary, during World War II.

..just like his infamous "religion of peace" comment--sometimes it is best to just say nothing...

Mary Cheney, 37, and the unidentified father
her longtime partner, Heather Poe, are expecting their first child
A clear error in the reporting, I thought I would correct it.

Where's the "common sense" in lesbian marriage and artificially induced lesbian parenthood?
