It may be part of the war that we "won't see."

"Geez, why does he have such a woody about this?"

Let me guess... do you remember the hand holding with the Saudi prince?

The press and the dems will eat him alive for this one.

Geez, why does he have such a woody about this?

Because in Establishment Republican minds, making money trumps all else.

Including national security.

How Clintonian.

My guess? We need a threat to keep government protecting us. This is one of the last windows to be shut, and it looks like he(and others) want to keep it open...

I've been thinking... maybe he has another vendor in mind, and wants the UAE proposal to be killed so this other company can take over.... Halliburton.

Just a thought.

Same as it's always been in Washington, $$$$$$$. Somebody's pockets are going to be stuffed with Arab muslim kickback money. Dubai has been the most notorious smuggling route in the middle east for 2,000 years, so you can bet your last dollar this whole situation is one great, big sleazy deal between their money makers and ours.

Geez, why does he have such a woody about this?

He's probably getting paid a ton by the Arabs, and would rather sell out the country if he stands to profit by it.

Geez, why does he have such a woody about this?

Possibly that lucrative $1M speakers fee he's hoping to collect post-presidency?

Actually, I'm guessing he's trying to award an "ally" in the WOT. He has to walk a narrow line in convincing the Muslim world that this is a War on Terror as opposed to a War on Islam and maintaining national security.

A woody? That's not the term I'd use, but I'm wondering why he's so committed to this; what principle does he think is involved?

Could it remotely be that there has been some sort of pressure or blackmail that if the US did not hire the Arabs that something terrible would happen say at a theme park or race event? Something that Bush felt we had no defense for?

"Geez, why does he have such a woody about this?"

That is exactly what I was wondering. Why does he care?

It makes me think that a) he has an interest, b) he is paying somebody back for something, or c) he is being too controlling.

Why spend your political capital on this?

Because he's right on the money, as he has been for most of the time.

And this is RIGHT.!
