xzins, your whole purpose with this is to incite and inflame. You know it, I know it, and so do most of the others reading this thread. You do NOT subscribe to the Canons of the Synod of Dordtdrecht. In actual fact, you oppose them. There is no such thing as an Arminain Calvinist. What you are doing is dissimulation, and mocking. Neither are things that Christ would do. If you name the Name of Christ, you must stop this. You started it. You can stop it. You are not acting as Christ would.

On reading Arminius' "On Predestination" article it simply hit me that Arminius was NOT resigning from Calvinism, and that he was never kicked out, and that his beef was with supralapsarianism, and that he CITED a host of confessions PRIOR to dordt that had differences one to another. What that meant was that there was an EVOLVING confession rather than a static one, and that some in the earlier movement would have been unacceptable ODDLY ENOUGH to those in the later movement.
I've just been reading that Luther recanted his earlier predestinarian views.
