Hello Roger. I am a former liberal, came to conservatism via libertarianism. It looks to me that you might actually have many of the same leanings that I did.

Regardless, if you are serious about discussing things here, you will be alright. There are of course many @ssholes, as there are on any public forum, who might scare you off, but on the other hand, there are plenty of folks who would be willing to "meet" you straight up and talk about things. Being a former liberal, I'd gladly be one such person, since I believe I can still "see" things from the other perspective. In fact, I tell people that in my heart, I am still a liberal, it is my brain that makes me conservative. So anyways, Welcome.
