I know their type. I've seen it up close in the people's republic of East Lansing.
We got a real up-close and personal look at them a couple of years ago here in Seattle. They're not really protesting anything in particular, they're just protesting everything in general.
They give good solid constitutional civil disobedience a bad name. They protest whatever the chicks in the crowd seem to want, in order to get laid at the big "resistance party" that weekend. If the girls all wanted to herd jews into concentration camps... that's what they'd be protesting for, just to make sure they got on the guest list for the next big party.
I personally know some of the people that went into downtown Seattle for the WTO protests... and to hear them talk before and afterward it was *exactly* that shallow. None of them really knew or cared what WTO was or what any of the issues really were about. Mostly it was a great place to pick up chicks with "negotiable" virtue.
