Why is "none of the above" not an acceptable answer? (other than your decree?)

It would be acceptable if "none of the above" occupying the Oval Office on January 20th, 2005, was a possible outcome of the November, 2004 election.

It isn't.

With that in mind...pick one.

You didn't ask me who WOULD win.

You asked who I WANTED to win.

And "none of the above" is certainly a more than reasonable answer to that question.

I want neither of them to win.
