My daughter and some of her friends drove over to Skineateles a couple days ago, where this time of year, lots of the towns folk dress from a Christmas Carol, and kind of put on a show. Being downwind from Lake Ontario, it always has a snow cover by now.
Funny, I doubt London does, but in Dickens' time, I guess we were still in the Little Ice Age, and perhpas London did, in those days, often have white Christmases.
I continue to kind of like the Victorian era.
I also like Dylan Thomas' Christmas poem, or prose, or whatever it was. I enjoyed the corny movie that was made of it.
