I love it!!!!
I walked into one of the local corner stores the other day for something and was pleasantly surprised to see the clerk sitting at the desk with an ashtray and cigarette burning.
I have met very few people here that don't smoke.
The owner of one place we go to told me point blank she would fight tooth and nail against any such thing. But she is not looking to see any such ideas floating around anytime in the near future. When anyone comes in asking for non-smoking she is perfectly happy to accomodate them, she has what could literally be considered a seperate building and that is her non-smoking section. In the nearly 3 years we have been going to this place I have only seen people in there once - granted I am usually there during the daytime, so at night it may be different.

I wouldn't have a Business Jet. But short of structural failure (RARE) small planes can be safely landed in most engine failure situations.

you're assuming that suitable landing places can be found. I know that they will come down, the question becomes in how many pieces.

I flew in a turbo prop once and never prayed so much on a flight. Had a baby and a preschooler with me and was scared to death the entire time.

That would be scary. Someone with photo shop should work on that possibility.

It may sound silly but motorcycles, cars, trucks, boats, and airplanes are wonderful machines. When treated with care and respect they serve us well. The thing I like about the homebuilt/kitplane movement is that it allows the owner/builder to do his own construction/assembly and the FAA then certifies that owner/builder to do his own maintenance on the plane he built. Certified Engines require FAA certified mechanic. This allows a proper bonding between man and machine. If I know the builder and his level of competence, I'd rather fly a homebuilt than a factory built plane.

i don't know, grimmy. i know the Park policeman that discovered Foster's body. i also know that a coworker of a friend, happened to be on a cruise with Ken Starr and was seated at his table at dinner. he asked him if he thought it was suicide, and Starr said yes. i know it is all anecdotal, but that is my personal knowledge on the subject.

Good piolts avoid situations that don't permit a landing. Mountain flying and as far as I'm concerned night flying in any plane is foolish.
