(Apparently, my spelling/typing skills goes the way of SUV fuel economy when I get all worked up...;-)

Happu borthday to hubby, pre-happy birthday to you and ask m-i-l 'been there and done that? you know the feeling for sure'.
By the way, welcome, I am the old cogger from the Mississippi Gulf coast.
To: lysie
Why lysie, from all the beauty who can look at the chubby cheeks.
To: Bitwhacker
Yes! I just got back from the store and saw that jerk, and your description was exactly right!
Cavuto kept asking why it was only SUV drivers he was targetting, since all people who drive use gas. He kept blabbing about the SUV exclusion and how awful it was, and I think Neil should have asked him if someone who drives an SUV 75 miles a week is worse than someone who drives a sedan 1000 miles per week.
These people are coming out of the woodwork and need to be shot down at every opportunity. I am sick of sanctimonious twits who have no idea about real life. That guy probably lives in a gated community and is paid from 501c3 money which is hidden from the IRS, and probably is funded by the DNC. I AM NOT PLEASED.

I never let birthdays bother me. I am 54. Your youth is in your attitude, not in your age.
Welcome!

Happy birthday Lysie. I would have said that earlier, but got caught up in chores.
Also got my flat-top reflattened.

Well.....we're glad you didn't stay away. The last time you did, we really missed you.
NOW, don't pay attention to people who miserably disagree with you, just smile, cause they cannot take away your educated thoughts.

The thing that continually amazes me about liberals in general and dems in particular is their assertion that their beliefs (scientifically verifiable or not) entitle them to dictate your actions.
A similar situation is these 'Historic Preservation' groups who, although they all live in co-ops in large cities, want to be able to tell people what they can and can't do with country estates and 'green space', all under the guise of 'regional planning'....
To: Luis Gonzalez
Watch it lysie , Luis is slipping up on your blind side, spanish guitar, one of those 'sweet nothing' songs (I think), remember you are married.
By the way, howdy Luis, havn't seen you here before but, d tells me I do a lot of forgetting in my old age.

You know, I believe people should open Christmas presents on Christmas morning, learn American history, pay attention to politics, appreciate Renaissance art, and avoid Brussels sprouts. I think I will start a 501c3 and start collecting money.
I know that there are 501c3 groups that do good work, but I have become convinced that they are cash-laundering schemes for certain groups. The thing that gripes me is that they don't have to release any donor names. Why is that? If I am donating to the American Cancer Society or the United Negro College Fund, why would I want to keep it secret? The worst offenders are the presidential libraries and the environmental groups. I think all donors should be listed on line, just like political donors.
I am convinced Clinton is laundering money through his library. I think The Detroit Project is probably funded by a foreign car manufacturer and the DNC.

I think certain 501c3's, particularly dem-sympathetic ones, are nothing more than PACs, and are in direct defiance of the federal statute that defines 501c3's.
You are also right about UOx42. He just recently announced that $200 Million won't be enough for his 'library', and that he is entertaining offers for something like $80-100 Million more. I just find it funny that churches can maintain history for over 1000 years of activity for next to nothin, while Buuba needs a quarter billion for just 8....
To: Miss Marple
avoid Brussels sproutsHey! Now you're stepping on my toes. Correctly prepared Brussel sprouts are wonderful. Poorly prepared ones can be horrible though. ;>)

Ummmm. I know it's you birthday and all, but I haven't generated a proper teasing for you. I'll see what I can do this evening - "splitting infinitives and BEYOND!"

(Also consider this: One of the ways Birr Xrinton can get his hands on the 'library' money is if he 'sells' all of the contents to the 'library'...and EVERYTHING going into that 'library' is owned by him and is in his possession...
To: lysie
BTW, do you have any suggestions for what type of teasing you'd like?

Brussel sprouts are the skunks of the vegetable world...they'll leave you alone if you don't rile 'em up ;-)
