Just a quick drop-in here....
Prayers for all us, and especially those brave men and women who serve our wonderful country.
Caught a little of the leftist San Fran.-based (where else??) poet Ferlinghetti on the Lehrer report last night.
According to him, our country is paranoid about the threats and dangers we face!!!!
Guess he missed the fact that we WERE attacked about 18 months ago....
Starting to pay attention to the news again, and the troop deployments......
Son #1 leaves tomorrow, then the rest of our company, and we leave for Indiana.
HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

You have made a good list. I am going to try very hard in 2003 to stay positive about things. I am quick to complain. So this is one thing I am really going to work on !
Liberals in the family are much worse than co-workers. Especially when it's your dear mother of 80+ years. I just have to ignore her. She believes every thing Pete,Tom and Dan say. They'd never lie or mislead her !

I was up late last night reading threads on troop and ship deployments. Lots of movement, all of a sudden.
In case you didn't see my note on the threads, DO NOT BUY THE WOODWARD BOOK. I received it as a gift and went ahead and read it, and it will put you in a BAD mood!
Essentially, Woodward portrays all members of the administration as fighting with each other, clueless, and unsure.
He also portrays the victory in Afghanistan as nothing but luck.
Get something else to read, instead. LOL!

Great pictures, Nita, and Raven. (What would Mohammed drive?...) I love it!
Snowing this morning. I thought we were through with snow...
Took my son to see The Two Towers. Wow! Only hitch was that we sat in the theater for almost an hour before the movie began, because it had broken during the previous showing. They had to get another one. I didn't mind waiting, but the management never said a word. Just kept us all in the dark. (Pun intended...)
Hope you're all doing well.
