That's what the Smarts said. I have nieces that age (14 and 15), and they have absolutely no interest in the Internet. They use their brothers to get information for them for school reports, etc. And the SLPD said there was no sign that Elizabeth was talking in chatrooms, etc. Please, Utah Girl, DON'T BE SOOO DEFENSIVE! I wasn't accusing Liz of dawdling in chat rooms or being promiscuous. Exchanging an e-mail or two is not being obsessed with the Internet. As far as being "supervised" 24/7, that simply strains credulity. She's a bright, normal 14-year-old.

She's a bright, normal 14-year-old.No past tense. I want to think she's still OK.

Geesh, I wasn't defensive, I was simply pointing out some facts. And I agree that parents often times do not know what their children are doing. But even Elizabeth's brother said she wasn't interested in the Internet.

"Please, Utah Girl, DON'T BE SOOOO DEFENSIVE!"
That's odd, you seem to be the only one who sees defensiveness in what she is saying. All she's doing is trying to give you and the Palladin poster some useful information which anyone interested in this case should be happy to have.
But you people don't seem just interested in Elizabeth's case. You--and Palladin, more than you--definitely seem to have an agenda of trying to establish what you think is your moral superiority, or the moral superiority of your own regions and perhaps of your own lifestyles (non-affiliated with any religion? that's my guess.)
You seem to think, or at least Palladin does, that sniping at Salt Lake City will establish some sort of superiority, but it doesn't. Quite the opposite.
