AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 557) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 31, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 07/31/2002 3:58:13 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Senator LIEberman, apparently the best the people of the State of Connecticut could send to Congress, said he would call former Treasury Secretary Rubin to testify before his Committee, "if he could shed light on the Enron collapse."

Meanwhile, the Justice Department has opened a probe into the accounting practices of AOL.

For accepting gifts from a businessman he then assisted, Senator Torricelli was "severely admonished." For those not familiar with the process, that means the Torch was told he was a very bad boy and shouldn't do that again.

Secretary Rumsfeld says airstrikes alone will not get the job done as far as removing Iraqi WMDs are concerned. He said that because of spys providing information to the Russians (he didn't mention by name, but Hansen comes to mind) that was then passed to other nations for a fee, the Iraqis now know how we look for things and can hide their activities all the better.

Other US officials promised Congress there would be no "October Surprise," saying it would take until early next year to finish preparations for war against Iraq.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Attacking me! Check out post #26. For the rest of you, I posted this article and have taken a controversial stand on it. I couldn't get one poster in particular to understand that I only had the facts I read. Sheesh.

I was thinking the same thing...moles in the FBI? DOJ? Senate Intelligence Committee? There are numerous possibilities, and I do hate thinking of them all.

HOB...ROFLOL....now here's another one for you:

A Texas Highway Patrolman pulls a man over for speeding. When he gets to the car, he notices it's an out of state license plate. He then goes up to the man driving the car and says, "Hey, you got any ID?" to which the man replies, "Bout what?"

Yes, there are a number on that thread who feel that its okay to add insult to injury.

Thank you for coming to my defense. I found myself agreeing with the poster who complained about the emotional rhetoric. Funny thing was, he was the worst mud-slingger.

Okay, add another Freeperette into the fray.....I just told that jerk not to consider becoming a PR person. Some people adore attacking others. He's just ONE of them. I'm sure his reply to me will be just as caustic.

Of course, you see, I'm using logic. ;-)

I think some of the posters on that thread need to read the book "How to win friends and influence people." Sheesh, some of them are just plain cold-hearted...

LOL...perhaps not. I suppose he would think it would have been okay if the life insurance companies that insured the victims of 9/11 had decided not to pay the families because of a clause in policy. However, knowing that the entire country would have more than likely risen up and screamed bloody murder, they did the right thing.

This guy is always a jerk, everywhere he goes, he brings trouble with him. He's always on the other side of the fence, playing "the villain". Personally, I think he's just the type of person that enjoys getting as many replies to his posts as possible by infuriating people with his insane remarks. An "attention getter". The more they get, the more they thrive.

As my sister would tell him, "Tell it to the hand cuz the face ain't listening". ;-)

Seems reasonable to assume that policy was effected to hold negligent people responsible for not taking care of something that does not belong to them...if they intentionally caused or allowed damage to something that is a sure fire way of getting the appropriate replacement...but for flooding, fire, etc..i think it's silly.
